Probably the worst experience ever. Even though I booked the room and paid the deposit, I got a last minute email from the hostel saying the room was in fact unavailable. They never refunded the deposit either.I had to book another hostel literally just before my flight to Lima.

Great place to stay in the Miraflores part of Lima. Its on the main road but not noisy at all, good security and great kitchen facilities. There's an amazing supermarket opposite which is really handy. The rooms are basic but fine, about a 10minute walk to the harbour and a few minutes to the main plaza and restaurants, very convenient place to stay.

My experience wasn't very good. I arrieved one night and they told me that my private room was taken, so I was moved to a shared room with no windows. I didn't pay for that night and the day after I was moved to the private room which is a great value for the money. I decided to stay one more night and Ricardo gave me the approval at noon just to tell me that same afternoon that again, the room was taken by somebody else. Looks like they can't handle reservations properly.

Emailed to book the transfer service and had response confirming it, instructions etc. Flight arrived at 11.30pm, after looking around for 1.5 hours for our transfer, tried to call hostel, number given didn't include dialling codes so couldn't get through. At 2am we decided to get a cab instead. Staff never apologised or mentioned the transfer. Staff also unhelpful generally, no maps of the area, always sitting with their back to you on reception etc. Cheap, but you get what you pay for.

Its in a good location, I booked a 8 sleeper dorm and my bed was a 9th one jammed in. Also when it came to paying the rate of exchange was very unrealistic and they tried to charge more than what was posted on Hostelworld. Two other girls had the same problem and were then told they had t o pay 8 dollars for leaving their bags there for the day. There are definately better options around !!!

It's not a bad hostel, it just needs a bit of a make over, few things need fixing, one in particular is the staff attitude. They seem to want to clean 24-7 which is ok, however cleaning the 8 bed dorm shower at 8am is not the appropriate time. Also mopping the hall floor at 1pm and then getting cranky because I walked on it?!? It's in an awesome location, it's cheap, but you definitely get what u pay for.

It would help a lot if more staff members speak a little English... but it is not major issue as everything we could sort easily as approach was excellent.
