Would suggest a night wandering the streets than stay here again.
Unclean, noisy. Free breakfast but its just toast and water.
They should spend more money cleaning than on giant tv`s. I felt dirtier after my shower.
Some staff were very nice and polite while others were rude and unhelpful.
Directions also need improving.
Stay at the J-hoppers instead 200% better than hereWould suggest a night wandering the streets than stay here again.

Not a bad hostel. Pros: Free breakfast is a big plus, quite clean, has security lockers, staff are quite good. Cons: Location is not great - not a lot happening in the area, coin operated locker system is not a great idea, showers are in the common room so you have to walk downstairs, and computers are terribly slow. For the price though, it is not too bad.Not a bad hostel. Pros: Free breakfast is a big plus, quite clean, has security lockers, staff are quite good. I liked staying in this hostel. The staff was very helpful and friendly. I loved free breakfasts in the morning. Bike rental made my Kyoto experience even better.
The only downside was the hot water in the shower was on and off one night for a brief periods, but that's about it.
If i ever go to Kyoto again, I'll definitly stay there again.I liked staying in this hostel. The staff was very helpful and friendly. I loved free breakfasts in the morning. Bike rental made my Kyoto experience even better.

I liked this place. The dorm was pretty big but you still have your privacy. Free wifi everywhere and the free breakfast was fine (just coffee and toast really). Location was pretty good but it's a bit of trek to the nearest train station. Still though, pretty easy to find.I liked this place. The dorm was pretty big but you still have your privacy. Nice hostel! Next to Nijo-Castle, Bus to the citycenter at the next corner. Clean rooms, friendly staff. Breakfast was included. Kitchen is a bit small if you intend to cook. I\'d recommend it. IMHO a very good place to stay, very cheap, friendly and helpful staff, and in a great location.
Bike rental is cheap and perfect to see the city and also to enjoy the nightlife :)
When the weather is good there's also a spacy roof terrace to hang around in addition to the common space at ground level.
The only weak point is that the lockers are quite small.
I'll return there next time I'm in Kyoto!IMHO a very good place to stay, very cheap, friendly and helpful staff, and in a great location.
