This hostel has made me into a better man. It was clean, it was traditional, the internet was fast and the people were nice and spoke English as well as I can sing 90's pop songs at Karaoke clubs (pretty damn well). If you choose not to stay here I really have to question your critical faculties.

Stayed in 8 bed mixed dorm; heating/cooling, curtains around each bunk for privacy, storage under the bed, very nice. Lockers in foyer area, free use with key deposit. Exceptionally clean. Very lovely staff with great local knowledge. Think they offer a laundry service but there is also a coin laundry down the road. Take the map to find it the first time. Close to Nijo station (JR + Metro) and the 206 bus which gets you to most places easily. More guesthouse than hotstel but we'd recommend it!
