It was fantastic. Far much better than I've ever expected. If I visit Nagoya again I'll definately stay Kyoya ryokan. Thanks~~

We stayed there for one night and it was great! such a lovely hotel with typical japanese rooms, tatami . The typical japanese bath was also great and the possibility to take free photographs was also very good! We loved it.

This is simply one of the best places that i have ever stayed in my life. The staff are lacking in strong english skills but they make up for them in charm and the atmosphere of the place.

it's a lovely Japanese style hotel with beautiful garden. The dorm is tatami with comfy futons, in house public bath is awsome, very good value for money. The only down side is it's 10min walk from subway station, and probably it's a bit noisy in the morning when every other guests have breakfast next to the dorm, but if you have ear plugs it's no big deal. Staff speaks fair English but very helpful. Would stay here again

I was blown away by this place. This is a place that could easily be priced a lot higher than it is. The place has its own hot bath that is open the entire night. Next to your bed, they even provide you with the Japanese yukata and a bunch of other things you might get at a Japanese style ryokan that you have to pay at least 5x more for a room. The staff was really nice and very helpful when it came to recommending places to go/eat. The location is really close to the Nagoya castle too!

I really enjoyed my stay at this hostel. The staff was very friendly and the hot spring was relaxing after a long day of site seeing. Ryokans in Japan are usually very expensive, so I was very excited to find one for the price of a hostel! It was authentic and a great atmosphere. I definitely recommend this place to an traveler!

It's a wonderful surprise to know there is a public bath within the ryokan and a big TV in our room. Comfortable and pleasant atmosphere!

This is in fact not a hostel which doesn't really make a difference to me as I got what I paid for. It is a bit out of the way for the main attractions in Nagoya, however, everything is still in walkable distance. The rooms were very clean and had an en-suite bathroom. The Aircon brought the heat into the room perfectly. They had lockers and overall I felt very safe staying here.

One of the best hostels that I've ever stayed!! Excellent facilities in a japanese style! Amazing japanese garden and even an ofuro in the back, to relax and enjoy your time there!! Very friendly and helpfull staff, specially Mr. Hiro!! Clean bedroms and bathrooms, free internet access, vending machines, and free coffee 24hs!! The location is not exactly in the heart of Nagoya, but is just 20-25 minutes walking (it's very close to Nagoya Castle though). I really reccommend it!!
