its very hard to find a reeeeeeally good hoststel in venice! but the imbarcadero was very good in comparison with the others ones that i looked. besides the door dont be the most atractive thing, the hostel had a great atmosphere, was very clean and also they offered a dinner for only 4 euros

The place is really nice and easy to find . Make sure you get a map as soon as u arrive in Venice , otherwise you´ll end up walking in circles ha! The atmosphere in the hostel is lovely and the receptionist alex is a nice guy. My room was very nice and quiet, though a little bit chilly .The breakfast was very good and what I found awesome is that you can cook your meals there, which is great as prices in venice are quite expensive. So, definitely book a room at L´imbarccadero !

Staying at L' Imbarcadero is great! The hostel is right on the grand canal so every morning when you leave you are awarded some amazing views; it is close to the train station and a walk to and from. The rooms are large and the beds are well spaced so that your personal space is not invaded. The best part about the hostel was the staff and atmosphere. Alex, the manager is awesome and eager to help or give advice. He makes amazing dinner! Which is a great way to meet people in the hostel.

Alex is a terrific host at this hostel/hotel! He really made our stay and has been the most hospitable staff member I've come across on our 10 week trip. The apartment we had was around the corner from the hostel itself but had a great view, large balcony, free wifi and breakfast included. I would definitely recommend this place!

I love this hostel, especially the staff (ALEX). He told me everything, includes best foods there. I had such an awesome experience there. The place of this hostel is easy to find (if you can read a map), it is near to the station. The main thing that you have to seek from a hostel is the atmosphere where u can meet new people and getting around with the right information. I would say this is the place to be.. =) Btw, the deluxe rooms is also superb! will def stay there again.. =)

The good points are: the staff is friendly and was ready to share information about places to visit and their timings. Wifi is fast. The location of the hotel is pretty good. Main issues are, there is just one bathroom (and WC included) for 4 people and also the break fast. They do provide breakfast, but it is very nominal.. I do not understand why they exactly give 8 bread slices for 4 people.. and 4 different variety of Jam..

We were booked into a 6 room dorm, however because we were travelling in off peak season, we were moved to a private double room overlooking the Grand Canal. Staff were very helpful, free breakfast was adequate. Very nice way to end our trip.

Location of the hostel is not difficult to find. The female room is spacious but the door cannot be locked. The metal cupboards in the room also has no means to be locked. Breakfast should start at 7am or 7.30am instead of 8am as some of us want to go out early. Wifi is not available inside the room. The room was cold at nite as there is only one small heater given. Bathrooms were clean though which is good. Sockets in the room are limited though.

We had a fabulous stay -- the entire staff was quite friendly and accommodating. We made a last-minute change to our reservation, which was accommodated because they weren't completely booked. We were close to everything we wanted to see. The only thing to keep in mind is that winter, you should bring appropriately heavy clothing to wear inside because it is quite cold and you have no control over the thermostat.

We very much enjoyed the hostel for 10 days in December, cooked good meals and enjoyed other travelers' company. The host was very kind and knowledgeable and helpful about Venice. We could not have asked for more. Thanks all.

I really loved the feel of this hostel. It was really easy to meet people, and it had a good location within the city. I would stay here again if I visit Venice in the future.

first, it's not very easy to find this hostels by using a map. But by asking someone, you'll find easily. And in front of hostel, there is a water taxi (vaporetto???) stop, 5mins walk to train station and 10mins walk to bus stop. staff was totally nice, and 3 bathrooms to shower (i think it is enough) i slept in 4 mixed dormitory, very spacious and clean. but you will feel little cold without fulled rooms in there not because of hostel, just weather in venice. and i remember long wi-fi password
