Great location. Easy access to bus and train station. Not safe though. only two closets to lock your stuff up , so if you aren't lucky to get one, you have to leave your stuff in the open. Had one of my items stolen and the staff is not helpful because they don't speak English. The guy at the front desk made me type what I was saying into Google Translate, still couldn't help me. no locks on room door.Bathroom is not clean. No door on shower so the floor gets extremely wet and very slippery.
Very thoughtful staff. Prepared breakfast for me and my friend when we checked out earlier. Here are some things that could be improved: - Some cabinet are worn out, locker breakable easily - There were mosquitoes around at night which disturbed my sleep. I'm not sure if there were netting for the windows - The mixed room dorm is directly facing the sea so it's pretty noisy throughout the night - Internet is pretty slow
Great location and rooms were nice, they provided a padlock and locker and an okay breakfast. Not the most helpful staff (no free map!) but were friendly enough. Only 2 bathrooms in the whole place which was a pain and they were always really wet as could do with better bath mats. Didnt see a lot of cleaning going on but my bed was made in the mornings. Overall nice experience and would stay again next time im in Venice:)
Had a great experience- there was a good atmosphere. The staff were helpful and friendly. We had a great chat and they gave us good advice. There are only 2 bathrooms but I didn't find that delays were significant. It's really close to the train station. Advice- if you have a big suitcase, buy a waterbus day ticket in front of the train station when you arrive and take the waterbus to Riva di Biasio. Then you don't need to climb the stairs over the bridge.
Wonderful, interesting, fun employees made my visit much better than it would have been otherwise! It was like a low-pressure stay at a friend's house.
We had a great time staying here. A great location, however Venice is small so walking is very easy. The staff are great and very friendly. Only thing is that the wifi only works in the common/kitchen and dining areas and that there are only two bathrooms/showers for the entire hostel. Otherwise, it was great and compared to other hostels in Venice good value for money.
Excellent location! Less that 10 minutes from the train station and easier to find than most things in Venice. Given the sloth-like pace and behemoth expense of the vaparetto staying right in Venice, at the L'Imbarcadero is definitely the right decision. Very friendly, helpful, and welcoming staff. Very clean and welcoming hostel. The breakfast is substantial and filling. L'imbarcadero is outstanding! Lockers and locks provided for you belongings and rooms with incredible views.
Very expensive but still the best price in Venice. Hostel staff were wonderful friendly and helpful. Hostel provides lock and chains to use cabinets as lockers which was better than nothing, but not the most secure feeling place for my valuables. The hostel is conviently located near the train station and Venice is a compact city so you can easily get anywhere you want to be. Hostel atmosphere was very mellow with people only being in the hostel to eat breakfast and occasionally cook dinner.
I enjoyed my stay here. Very friendly and welcoming staff that know how to create a friendly community. They made it very easy to get to know other people staying in the hostel. The room was loud at night due to its proximity to the water, but still a peaceful stay.

Positives: Tatiana is so sweet and helpful, location is perfect, there is a kitchen. Negatives: Old building that in winter is absolutely freezing. It was unbearable in the bedroom at night.
Staff were really friendly and helpful. Kitchen facilities were good as was the supplied breakfast. A little cold at night unless you were fortunate enough to have a bed next to the heater. Good location near the train station. Just make sure you know where the place is on a map before you attempt to find it as Venice is like a maze
WiFi and water drain doesn't work well. But I was glad to have had breakfast in the hostel.
L'Imbarcadero was clean, the location central but a little hard to find in a typically Venetian way. The dorms were spacious but the fact there were only two bathrooms and no separate toilets made strategic bathroom planning a necessity. The breakfast provided was, for me personally, disappointing as there were no options for breakfast that didn't involve highly processed white bread or biscuits/pastries, aside from the precious few oranges. Overall, very good value for money.
Was surprised at lack of security into dorm rooms (anyone could enter and did), wifi was basically nonexistent (we asked about it and the receptionist had no suggestions), breakfast was basic (think white bread, packaged croissants), only two bathrooms for a large amount of people. However, the location was great and it was easy to find. We could walk to all major attractions from here so it's a good base. Just basic.
The place is small but awesome at the same time, the price was worthy for the breakfast, and i'm serious the breakfast included for me is the most important thing...
A cozy hostel, where the staff makes you feel right at home. Kitchen and free breakfast is a bonus. Only two bathrooms can be an issue if both were in use and no additional toilets. Beds I found were uncomfortable and no locks to the bedrooms. However, I found the lockers were a good size to lock any valuables. Overall we had a nice stay.
