The hotel staff was awesome. Alex, the owner, waited up for us to arrive on our late night flight then walked us to our room. The bathroom was something from a 4 star hotel n there was plenty of space. Close to the train n bus stations at San Lucia. Great value for the money.

Generally a good hostel. Clean facilities, beds had mattresses that were a bit thin. Location was very ideal for Venice. Alex was helpful and friendly.

I really enjoyed my stay at L'Imbarcadero and I felt blessed to be able to find such a nice and affordable hostel in expensive Venice. The staff headed by Alex was great. I felt comfortable immediately when I was greeted by Alex each morning and evening when I returned from my excursions in the city. The hostel's bathroom were ultra modern and kept very clean with access to a kitchen and a relaxation lounge.and the location can't be beat.....right on the Grand Canal!

Very nice hostel - convenient to the train station and fairly easy to get around from there. The staff person, Alex, was super nice, and everyone we met was really friendly. Breakfast and wifi were both kind of mediocre, but still much appreciated.

Great hostel! Friendly and fun staff, big rooms, and a nice touch with the included breakfast. One of the showers continually clogged, which was a bit gross, and the water pressure in our sink was kind of weird, but very clean and orderly besides those things.

L' Imbarcadero is a good hostel. It's located next to Venice Santa Lucia Train Station. It takes 5 min. by foot. The hostel has a good atmosphere and it's more like a house. When you wake up you can look out the window and see beautiful Venice. Internet wuz not working so good but it's ok you can tell this to staff and they can fix it. (I did like this.) So in my opinion this hostel is a good choice for Venice. So i don't think so that the other options are not better than this hostel.

Location near train station is perfect. Staff is best I've seen by far. They were informative, attentive and helpful. The internet access is above average. This hostel is the perfect size, has a great location and staff and I'll most definitely be back!

L' Imbarcadero is a wonderful place to stay. It's right on the Grand Canal and very charming. Everything is an easy walk or vaporetto ride away.

The host was very attentive to the needs of his guests. The continental breakfast was far more complete than others I've had. The rooms had good eye appeal and the toilet facilities had good hot water and were in good working order. The location was very conveniently located near the train/bus station and not a very long walk to any of the sites.

The staff was wonderful and very helpful. The location was easy to find when I followed the directions given from hostels.com from the train station. Venice in general is very hard navigate even with a map. The breakfast was enough to fill me up consisting of cereal, toast, coffee, juice, yogurt, and a croissant. I enjoyed the \"homeliness\" feel of the hostel. It is not like other big hostels in other cities. There was a large locker to lock all my belongings.I would definitively stay again.

Initially a little hard to find (especially at night), this hostel group is a gem in Venice! The host was fantastic and passionate about his hostel business and did not hesistate to provide us with recommendations of where to eat and go, and how to go do it all within our short stay. The kitchen and washroom were both well kept. I would stay here again!

The beds were a bit uncomfortable and the noise from the boats going by was very loud if you were just at the window, but the staff were extremely friendly and helpful and professional. The location was hard to find at first because it\'s sort of hidden and there\'s not big sign, but the location is amazing. Overall, I would reccomend it if you just need a place to sleep and shower, with helpful staff.

It's near the train station and also near a Traghetto(the transportation boat) station, sbout 1 minute walk. The only thing which has to be considered is, it's far from the piazza San Marco, which is the main sightseeing spot. But it's good anyway : )

On the outside it looks terrible, it is an old building with no maintenance. Inside it is a little bit better. The "reception" (if you can call it that way) is kind of disorganised. They have at least 3 bathrooms available but in the mornings just 1 is open! Security... street door has a broken lock so anyone can come inside the building, but there is another door that is locked to go inside the apartment.

The location was very convenient for access to the train and bus stations and the directions were easy to follow. The bathrooms were big and clean, but there were 2 bathrooms with toilet and shower and 1 bathroom with a shower only. I think it'd be better to convert the shower only room to a toilet only room. The wifi worked ok for me for my 3-night stay.

The experience at L' Imbarcadero was amazing. Alex and his girlfriend are great hosts and will make sure you feel comfortable and happy. The hostel is located right on the grand canal with easy access to the water bus stop (right outside). The atmosphere is great and is pretty easy to meet cool and interesting people. If I am ever in Venice again, I will absolutely stay here again. Thank you guys for a great time!
