Property Directions

Bankside is ideally located for exploring London with easy access to all parts of the city!

Tate Modern, Shakespeare's Globe, London Eye, Vinopolis, London Dungeon, HMS Belfast, St. Pauls, Tower Bridge, Tower of London and Millenium Bridge are all within easy walking distance.

The West End is easily accessible from Bankside either by walking along the Thames or jumping on the Jubilee line from Southwark or London Bridge stations, both less than ten minutes walk away. The City is a short walk over Southwark Bridge with the Docklands, Canary Wharf, the O2 arena and ExCeL also easily accessible via the Jubilee line.

Please note: Blackfriars underground station will be closed until late 2011. The circle and district lines can be accessed via Temple Station a 15 minute walk from Bankside House. Overland rail services are still serving Blackfriars Station. Directions below have been updated to reflect this.

AIRPORTS

From Heathrow: Heathrow is easily accessible via London Underground. Bankside can be reached by using the Piccadilly line to Green Park and then take the Jubilee Line to Southwark. From Southwark station follow the Orange Lamposts towards the Tate Modern and you will see us on your right, just beyond the iconic Blue Fin Building.

From Gatwick: Take the Thameslink Service to Blackfriars Station. From Blackfriars follow the directions to the Tate Modern, we are just behind.

From Stansted: Take the Stansted Express to Liverpool Street Station and then take the Central Line to St. Pauls Station. From there follow the signage to Tate Modern, Bankside House is just behind the Tate Modern.

EUROSTAR
Eurostar now terminates at St Pancras International station. From St. Pancras take the Northern Line to London Bridge Station and follow the signs to the Tate Modern.

RAILWAY STATIONS
Bankside House is located mid-way between Waterloo and London Bridge Stations, just follow the signs to the Tate Modern, about a 10 minute Walk.
Blackfriars Station and Cannon Street are both just across the River, again just follow the signs for the Tate Modern. For all other stations take the Underground to either Southwark or London Bridge.

LONDON UNDERGROUND (The Tube):
The closest London Underground stations are Southwark (Jubilee line) and London Bridge (Jubilee & Northern lines). Both are a 10 minute walk away with Waterloo (Jubilee, Northern, Bakerloo lines) around 15 minutes walk away along the river.

BUSSES
The 381 and RV1 buses from Waterloo also pass by Bankside House as do the 45 and 63 from Kings Cross/St Pancras.

London boasts an excellent Black Cab service. Rates are reasonable and cabs are very safe. There are taxi ranks at major stations, airports and within the West End.
