I love this hostel TOO MUCH!!! After extending my stay from 1 night to 3.... I even came back a few days later!! The staff is awesome and very chilled, Pablo is CRAZY - in a very good way haha. There is no better place than their roof terrace which is perfect to contemplate the mountains or the nightsky.... I felt like home! Best hostel in the WORLD lol
We booked for a double room shared bathroom but due to overbooking in the hotel were upgraded to the apartment on top of the hostel. Very spacious with room for 5, own bathroom and balcony. The center of the town is a 5 min. walk while the paths for trekking start 2 min. walk in the opposite direction. Staff is very helpful but mainly Spanish. Enjoyed our stay here and would definitely recommend the place, especially before a hostel like Tilcara Mistica.
Great hostel and staff!! Spacious and clean room and bath! Definetily recomment it!
Without doubt the best hostel in Tilcara.
The staff is helpful at explaining what to do around Tilcara. The only problem with this hostel is it is far from the buses (you can still walk, but it is out there) and the downtown-area where everything is going on. It's close to the road leading to the Pucara and the Garganta del Diablo waterfall, but there are better located places in town. Also, there is only 1 toilet/shower for many people so you end up waiting for little things like brushing your teeth. Breakfast is just coffee and bread.
Nice hostel, friendly staff, i would recommend it.
Adorable, very "homey" hostel. Pablo, the main guy, was super helpful with travel and tourist info. Really unique set-up to a hostel, with a porch up top of the roof, and rooms around a courtyard. My favorite hostel that I stayed in during my two week trip through northern Argentina! The kitchen is a little small, but it functions, and its located close to the beginning of the trails out to garganta de diablo and pucara (the ruins). Definately recommended
A great hostel! Absolutely recommend it. Hot showers, keys for the dorm rooms, lots of blankets for cold nights.
