Best hostel I've stayed in. Hands down. Only problem i can think of is the bathrooms dont have any ventilation, so you'll need a shower after using them you sweat so much.

Santa Marta is the equivalent of Cusco as it acts as a pit-stop for you to go and do other activities around the area. Met some cool people at the hostel, while the breakfast is really good. Only improvement I would recommend is maybe not having the sound too loud in the bar, as it can become difficult to hear the other person speak.

This hostel is centrally located, which is a upside. The building itself is beautiful and a little swimming pool is a great refresher at night, when it is so hot. We slept in a room with 10 beds, the doors were always open, so anyone could enter. The bathrooms were cleaned often. The food is no good in there and overpriced. There were some activities, like quizz, quite entertaining. Too many gringos for my taste, noisy and drunk at night, had to ask the reception to keep them quiet. Good.

Special thanks to Ricky who was a great help with lots of travel / tourist related questions. The reason I stay at hostels instead of hotels is to have really helpful and informative staff like Ricky. I could do without the loud bar in the evening, but that's what earplugs are for. (grin)

Rooftop chillout area with gym, billiard room, swimming pool, TV room, bar. La Brisa Loca it's a very cool place with a lot of different areas for what your willing to do at the moment. Sweet! The negative point is the heat. Santa Marta is HOT, so it's hard to sleep in some nights with just that slow ceiling fan. Air conditioning would be welcome.

If you're looking to party all night at a cool hostel bar then this is your place. If you put more priority on being able to sleep when you want to I'd suggest looking elsewhere. The setup around the central pool is really nice, cool architecture. You do get the feeling that La Brisa Loca is well set up to get maximum Pesos out of you tho...

Hands down the best hostel I have been to, ever. Heres why: 1. Rooms - The rooms are clean, beds are comfortable. if you can get in 102, you might even get a full size bed! Some rooms also have AC. 2. Security - They even have private security outside. There are also safes in the room and big boxes to lock up your stuff 3. Great vibe - From a tv room with tons of movies, to a pool, to a patio with hammocks to a great bar with cheap drinks I'd go on but hostelworld limits the characters

Interesting layout, but lacks cleanliness in the form of a cat jumping around the bar and a very poorly equipped guest-kitchen, with nowhere to eat your food.

Nice location in the city-centre, with good wifi and lockers. But its definitely a party-hostel, if you wanna sleep before 1 am..no way. Even the guy at the reception told me twice at one it will be finished..

Stayed three weeks in Columbia and La Brisa Loca was definitely my favorite hostel experience. The staff was great, the rooms were clean, it had everything I wanted. Prices are also great considering everything La Brisa has to offer. I will be back for sure.

very friendly staff, but sometimes a bit confused because the hostel is busy like a beehive. If you want to stay in a quiet atmosphere or relax or sleep early and/or easily, it is too loud. Very hippy-style and everybody is very cool. Very loud actionfilms are shown in the "livingroom" until 1 a.m. Not for early hikers/adventurers. After our exhausting hiking trips to ciudad perdida and parque tayrona we decided to stay somewhere else because we wanted to decide when we would like to go to bed.
