Lovely place, it just took us while to find it. Once you get on the street check the ringbells at the house number as there is no marking of the hostel so you won't see any big logo. Otherwise it was nice place and would stay over again.

This place appears to be very lovely, the location is good and the staff were friendly however the cleanliness is lacking, we experienced bed bugs here.

Owner Comment (Hide)
Unfortunately, the problem with the bed bugs is not always directly related to the cleanliness of the place (the cleanliness in our hostel is good rated). Bed bugs come with the pilgrims who pick them up all along the Jacobs way. You can have the most clean place, but if a pilgrim brings bed bugs in their backpack, they might stay in the room. You won't see them before is too obvious because they hide very well and they only come out at night. The increadible thing is that you did not say anything to us and that wa have to find this out by reading a coment on the internet. If you said anything to us we could have acted inmediately.

What a great place to stay! After 2 days of paying too much in the historic center I switched to La Bruja. I loved it so much I extended my stay. I almost dismissed it after reading some of the other reviews but I am so glad I didn't. Its a pension not a backpackers, so I had a private room with my own keys to come and go as I pleased and the use of all the shared facilities, free wi-fi, TV and not many places have a kitchen. Its clean, secure and friendly, I felt right at home!
