Wonderful hostel with an incredibely homely feel, friendly staff (Darren, the owner, is great) with lots of useful information about where to go
Homey place, with beautiful gardens, extremely friendly/helpful staff, and a laid back vibe. The waterfall hike is an excellent service and adventure the hostel offers! Carlos is da bomb guide and chiquita the hostel dog is the most epic and sweet of hiking partners.
Good place to relax. No party. Quiet time after 9. Very good kitchen. Nice garden area.
Excellent hostal in Juayua. The bunk beds were roomy along with the lockers. There is a spacious kitchen, dining area (in an outdoors) and TV area. Everyone gets a free beer or soda at arrival. Darren is a fountain of knowledge of the area. Highly recommended!
La Casa Mazeta was the most welcoming and comfortable hostel environment we've ever been to. Darren is an excellent host and his house is lovely. The staff there is top-notch and one if them is the best waterfall tour guide ever. The waterfall tour was one of our favorite parts about staying at La Casa Mazeata, but we'd like to forewarn anyone who is not ready for a physical challenge that it is pretty rigorous! We were there during the food festival and it was very easy to get around from here

Nice hostel. The owner Darren and his staff are all really friendly and helpful. Laid back atmosphere and good location in the small town. Lots of mosquitos, but that's not really the hotel's fault!
The location is very convenient - steps to town and local transit but still quiet. The web site directions from the bus to the hostel are perfect. The gardens are gorgeous. The accomodations and common areas are welcoming and very clean. The owner & staff are awesome and helpful with directions, laundry, and an amazing waterfall tour that was a highlight of our month long trip throughout 6 of the 7 Central American countries. Also, we were able to use the computer to backup all our photos. A+

This place was awesome fun. Darren the owner is running a great operation; he's very knowledgeable about the area, can help with tours, is always keen for a game of cards and most importantly has a fridge full of cold beers.
A great hostel. We were in a private room with outdoor shower and toilet. Not for everyone but was fine for us. The common areas were great and the garden is beautiful. There were excellent tours on offer and heaps of info to help make the most of the area. Would stay here again.
The boss was away but the staff ran it like clockwork. There was a great chilled vibe and it was really friendly, a beautiful garden, hot water, comfortable beds, a computer to use , excellent kitchen and good local advice. I stayed an extra night. Definitely recommended for sure.
We had a great time here in La casa Mazeta. The man in charge has great recommendations on what to do around Juayua and is very friendly and easy going. The place is very clean. Great place to stay while you're doing Ruta de Flores
