The people at Zarela were so accommodating! They let us check in at 6am when our bus arrived, stored our bags, and let us use an empty room to shower after we had checked out (for a small fee, but that's understandable since they had to clean it. 30 soles=worth it to be clean after a day of mountain biking, followed by an overnight bus ride). Breakfast isn't included but it is delicious. They also gave us excellent recommendations on guides (Julio, right across the street!).

Zarela goes above and beyond to help you out in huaraz. I will return in the future no doubt about that. Just make sure you check out the roof terrace for great views. I just wish the continental breakfrast was free. All in all best hostel in peru by a long way

Zarela is a wonderful host. Friendly and interesting. As a fellow traveler she knows what travelers need and really makes you comfortable. There is in-house laundry service at a reasonable rate and fantastic breakfasts. We even ordered a pizza one night!

I had an amazing time at Case de Zarela! The hostel has amazing outdoor patios with great views of the mountains, the beds are comfortable, the shower is HOT and has great pressure, and the staff are super helpful.

The owner of the hostel, Zarela, is an excellent source of information on all the opportunities available in the Huaraz area. She is generous with her time and speaks excellent English.
