Best Value in Monterrey BY FAR! This place is simply adorable, and wouldn't be out of place in Amelie's Paris. Located in the historical district and just steps away from some of M-town's main attractions, LCB is within spitting distance of the MARCO contemporary art museum, the Macroplaza, the Riverwalk (Paseo Santa Lucia) and some serious shopping!! Very clean and friendly. On-site restaurant. Only minor beef is the facilities -- the shower area is separated from the sleeping area.

Comfortable and cozy place. Didn't seem like a party hostel. Nice kitchen and decent bathrooms. Staff was fantastic. A younger looking guy seems to run the place and he was very helpful with a few questions I had, and also with getting a taxi early one morning. Very friendly. The location seemed a bit rough at night, but great for day time exploring. Very close to all the cool areas. Security inside the hostel was fine. Overall, I really enjoyed my stay. Thanks, guys!

Great character hostel well located in the old quarter which is a safe aera in Monterrey. Close to bars and restaurants. The staff is friendly : the girl, Annie, proposed me to join her friends and her to share a beer in the courtyard. The downside would be the shower location : you have to cross the courtyard to access the shower, pretty freezing cold in January...

Nice hostel in a great location near downtown and the Macroplaza. The staff was very friendly. No free coffee in the morning was disappointing. No free breakfast either, but they had waffles if you wanted to pay for them. . . which I did not. Hot showers was a plus, but you have to go outside through the public area for access. The location is what this hostel has going for it. Very close to the subway and bus lines. Would stay again when in Monterrey.

All in all, a clean place to stay at a great price in a good location. The downside: the bathrooms aren't connected to the bedrooms. And the place is very much just a place to stay - don't expect a fun atmosphere.
