What a lovely hostel is! Looks so cute and beautiful, perfectly clean, just 5blocks away from Zocaro, and relaxable atomosphere like at home. The owner is wonderfully kind and feiendly(speaks English too),he knows any information about not just Merida. IŽm sure iŽll come back to this hostel when I travel this country again.

A "double private" room is not a double bed! It is a bunk bed in a private room.

I have stayed in hundreds of hostels all over the world and this one will always be one of my favorites. The hostel itself has great character, ambiance, history, and warmth yet is within a few blocks of the main colonial square. I was only going to stay a couple of days which has now turned into a week!!! Not hard to do in a beatiful and safe city like Merida!!! Erwin, the owner, is very knowledgeable and extremely helpful. He spent many hours helping me plan the rest of my trip in Mexico!!

Very entertaining owner who will take you through all the options available for things to do around Merida. Definitely eat at El Trapice, excellent food! In a fairly good location, no real common area is a bit annoying, and it does get very hot without air conditioning in the rooms.

Stayed here for 2 nights and was so nice we went back for one more night. Edwin is a legend and very helpful and welcoming. Lacking A/C but plenty of fans. Beautiful house, really feels like you are in a family home. Definetly recommemded. Visit PanchoŽs restaurant for some good food and drink.

What made my stay here worthwhile was the kindness and generosity of the owner. He is a lovely man and very accommodating. The hostel is in his family's historic home; it's lovely and full of interesting art, but it lacks a central gathering place where one can get to know the others staying at the hostel. The location is great -- very close to downtown but on a quiet street. If you're just looking for a nice spot to sleep after a day of excursions, though, this is a good place.

Very nice place, helpful owner, but the double we booked was a bunk bed. According to the owner, he has no double rooms.

One of the nicest hostels we have stayed in! 100% recommended. Beautifuly decorated, spacious rooms, fantastic value, free drinking water and light breakfast (sweet bread, fruit and coffee), great location, super clean and Edwin the nicest host you will ever meet. We were only planning on staying 2 nights but extended to 4 as we loved it so much.

Really awesome host who made his best to make you feel welcomed. And managed perfectly! After having had flight canceled arriving to this nice personal place was wonderful. Definately would stay here again!
