For one, I was in a 6 person dorm and there were 7 people there both nights. Couples sleeping on the single bunk beds opposite me. I'm not sure how or why the hostel was allowing this, plus someone had been smoking in the non-smoking room- there were cigarette butts on the window (they were not here earlier). Also, the couples got fairly intimate at night which made it a bit uncomfortable (read, completely undressed gentlemen). The showers were quite grimy.

Female dorms have window onto street, near a club that is open till 3am, loud revelers every night I was there. Breakfast minimal compared to other hostels I stayed in near Guanajuato. Staff was helpful and hostel is centrally located. Never able to get a warm or hot shower but that added to the charm.
Great location, 5 min walk to Teatro Juarez. It can be a little noisy at night for the bars near by. The staff was very helpful.
Nice hostel with spacious dorms featuring individual lockers (You can get a padlock from reception if you don't own one). There was even a sofa and a little coffee table. The terrace is amazing with very picturesque views of Guanajuato. The location is excellent, it's only a 3-5 minute walk into the main city centre and a view of "el pipila".
