Wow - this place is a gem! Met several people that raved about this place before I arrived and was ready to be disappointed, but wasn't. It is a little far out from the town, but so what. Huge grounds with hammocks and places to hang out. River running through the back of the property with a small beach to swim (not too cold in January). Cosy bar where you can also get dinner that ranges from OK to excellent. Lots of games for when it rains. Staff are great. Book ahead and don't miss out!
An amazing hostel. The back garden is the most chilled out place I've experienced on the whole trip. Amazing atmosphere here. Brilliant staff too
We we're planning to stay in La Casona for 4 nights only. Ten minutes after arriving we decided to stay for 7 nights and still we we're sad to leave after a fabulous week. La Casona is a little piece of Paradise. The hostel is cosy and charming, the garden is absolutely stunning and the staff is like a family. We had the chance of celebrating new year's with them and we couldn't have imagined a better place. They create a heartwarming atmosphere and therefore it is a great place to relax!
An absolute gem of a hostel. El Boslon is beautiful but Casona made it the unforgettable experience we had there. We had Christmas here and we could not have hoped for a better venue. The gardens are zen like, the communal areas are inviting and the atmosphere created by the wonderful staff is the best we have experienced. Can not thank you all at Casona enough for such a fabulous week.
This was a really nice hostel, but the only real issue is a significant one. The hostel is located a bus ride away from town, and the bus happens to be very unreliable. I wasted a lot of time because of that. I wasn't aware of this before I booked -- it would have been nice if the hostel had made this clear. Aside from the location issue, it's a great hostel. Clean, good staff, solid breakfast, relaxing atmosphere and large garden / backyard. It's the kind of place you could just chill at.
Great stay, wished we could have stayed for christmas. Meals from Juan are delicious :) staff is excellent and very helpfull. Highly recommend it even though it's out of town it's easy to get to by bus or taxi. Muy buena onda!! Gracias
One of the nicest places we stayed in Arg, you won't regret it

It is the most beautifull hostel that we have ever seen. The saff is very friendly and speaks very good english. The food is nice and the garden is very beautifull. But perfect is impossible. It's not close to the center, but there is a bus every hour. They recycle everything, but sometimes to much so you get confused. The BBQ we had was very good, but not enough. Still, if you go to El Bolson, you have to stay in La Casona de Odile!
we had a wonderful stay at this cosy hostel. Next to the river a huge garden close to make wonderful hikes and at night a fireplace with homemade pizza's and wine. and very helpful staff !!!

This place is beautiful. We were so happy here we extended our stay! I can't speak for the dorms but our private room was great with a lovely bathroom (and a good shower!). The garden was idyllic, and even though we meant to go hiking etc in el bolson, we stayed in the hostel the whole time. Wonderful. Marcel and team were excellent hosts and run an efficient, clean, gorgeous hostel. Take bug spray, its near a river. We were bitten.
This is an incredible hostel right on the river with a spacious, well maintained backyard equipped with hammocks in just the right places among the ponds and gardens. I was very impressed with the kitchen facilities like sharp knives and quality cookware. The staff members were very helpfull at providing advice on activities in the area and were always very friendly. The free breakfast is awesome. Also there is a nice selection of wines, beer, empanadas, and pizza.
