You pay for what your get. The dorm room has a shower in the room but the toilet is located outside. The security there are lockers however the rooms isn't locked so anyone can walk up during the day or at night when sleeping. Staff isn't engaging unless rebooking or buying a tour which were expensive. Great breakfast with eggs, toast and fresh fruits.

Had an ok room, bit small for six people and bags. Breakfast is great, common areas are average. No comfi seats to relax after a long day of walking. Too bad my sneakers were stolen from my dorm :(

Really nice hostel with the best breakfast. I strongly recommend it.

- Staff unfriendly and overchallenged - Staff didn't show me the hostel, my dorm or my bed - I did not receive any helpful advice at time of arrival - Dorm is fully packed with 16 beds, which stand close together - No A/C but Fans - still gets very hot in there - Bathroom without sink, cold water showers - No keys for entry to the hostel and the rooms/dorm - Safety and security very bad (everybody can come into the hostel) - Location is also bad, however it is relatively quiet at night

Quiet and tucked away from busy street, staff was friendly, and the breakfast was pretty good (fresh fruits, toast, and eggs). However, the cleanliness and quality of the furniture in the room left a lot to be desired. For the price, I was disappointed by how dingy and dark the room felt, with a hard mattress, very old bedding, etc. Biggest complaint is if they are not going to offer A/C in CR heat, they could at least put a $5 table fan in the room (they don't). I wouldn't stay again.

The hostel was nice the breakfast was good and the showers were hot. Lockers are located inside the office which is a little inconvenient and the staff arent overly helpful unless you want to book one of their tours but were all polite.

Friendly, also english speaking staff. Great price for dorms/private rooms. Can answer a lot of your questions. Easy to find from the busstation (5min walk -/+) Would stay there again if I would need to go back. - Shared shower was cold, nothing offerd or done to fix that issue unfortunatly

Not really a hostel but an excellent Inn. Hot showers and comfortable beds. Great breakfast and good location (only 3 blocks froms the bus terminal). Defenitly recommend. We ended up staying an extra night.

Pretty place. Was awakened each morning at six by the staff conversing loudly and preparing breakfast right under my room.

Excellent hostel!! Very nice and helpful staff. They can help with any tour and information that you need. Clean facilities. Breakfast is the best!!!

The shower smelled a bit moldy and the person working the check in desk was hard to find at times. The lot next door was playing loud music late into the night and early in the morning. The overall stay was fine. We hardly spent any time in the room at all.

Nice hostel, close to the city of La Fortuna and Volcan Arenal. The room was clean and with air conditioning which was unfortunately broken and super noisy though. Also, the staff was very helpfuk and friendly but unfortunately not around when we needed some help/wanted to check out etc. (that may be due to off season though). The breakfast is a big PLUS though! Fresh coffee, fruits and scrambled eggs (and toast of course). All in all my two friends and I would probably come back.
