This is a fun place to stay, hostel with restaurant/bar at the edge of the historic center where it's easy to meet people. The facilities are good, breakfast with several options is included in the price and staff is very helpful. Hot water and pressure is a bit unreliable and the noise from the bar (approximately until midnight) might disturb somebody, but I would still recommend this place and happily return.

It seams that everyone likes La Cigale, it is very lively and the food is excellent as well as the service. We went to check different restaurants and bars but La Cigale was always the most crowded till 12 midnight which could be a problem if one likes to sleep early , in that case a room in the back would be more appropriate. The staff was very friendly and helpful . We enjoyed our stay there.

Even though I had a room kind of far from the bar area, it was still extremely noisy until late at night. Breakfast was good, staff was excellent!

Good hostel. Good location within walking distance to all the major sites. Hostel is behind/on top of a bar/restaurant so it can be a bit noisy but the music wasn't loud too late (bring ear plugs if this will bother you). Hot water; clean bathrooms and bright, fun rooms. Breakfast is eggs, toast, coffee, juice. Staff is mostly friendly though a bit difficult to communicate if you don't know Spanish.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast and Ciapirinas were excellent.

Wonderful staff, spotless rooms, great food, what more could you ask for?

Great value and excellent location. The communal space is the restaurant which is very popular and gets really packed. The beds are really comfortable.but there are no lockers in the rooms.

How can a traveller not be impressed when you arrive at a Hostel wherein the Staff practice Random Acts of Kindness. I would look forward to staying at this Hostel again.
