Good spot in town and friendly staff. Maybe the bathroom could be a bit cleaner.

The staff were extremely helpful and patient. One of our group had a problem with the electricity in one of the rooms and the staff were very prompt and friendly about getting them to a better room. The hostel itself is really neat with lots of plants and large rooms.

It was ok. Close to good food stalls. Nice people were staying, which gave the place a nice feel. Good internet connection. We could even SKYPE!!!

I spent a very good time in this hostel. The place is great to relax just few blocks from the main road, the staff is very friendly and the big table outside the dorms is a great place to meet the other guests, share a beer or just enjoy the hamac! A great place to stay...

Very difficult to find this place! It's just off the road and the door is locked, at first I thought it was closed down so you have to knock loudly!Staff were friendly but there weren't many others there & no communal area apart from outdoor patio where breakfast was served. The room was very hot. humid and dark - it had a very west african feel to it! Lots of mosquitoes around and tiny wooden lockers. Fine for one night's stay but was glad to move on to somewhere with a bit more life and soul

Not a party hostel by any means. Very quiet and laid back, maybe too laid back. When hey say the reception is o Lu from 830 am to 1030 am, they mean it. -Bicycle rental- 70 pesos -Breakfast - fruit and toast from 930 am to 11 am - Staff- friendly but a bit French-style in that they will do their job, but nothing else. - location: need a bike for the cenotes and beach, but this is true no matter where you stay. I looked at mama's hostel one night. I would recommend mama's over Cigana

We booked into the 6 bed dorm which was decent, spacious. It was sold as 6 bed ensuite but this is misleading as another double room also shares the bathroom so actually up to 8 people share the only bathroom. Meant a lot of waiting around in the morning and an additional 2 people walking through the dorm to use the bathroom. Bathroom was not clean at all, we arrived mid afternoon and was already dirty, it wasn't cleaned during our stay.

I enjoyed it, a place to stay with a bike included is an amazing deal. It was very calm, rarely any noise but the noise of cars passing by on the main road. I stayed in a dorm, the cleaners would come in every day it was perfect. The mosquitos are a problem though and a lack of security but if you have a lock you are fine. I really enjoyed winding down somewhere different and quiter after being on the beach for so long.

Nice place, provides what is necessary in a decent hostel. Can be fairly noisy at night though. Ok value for money.

A couple of cabana huts, typical Mexican water pressure, but it's a pretty homely sort of place. Breakfast included in the morning. I was annoyed that having made arrangements to return my key and get my bond refund the night before (so I could leave early in the morning), there was no staff member on duty even though one is supposed to be on site until 10pm.

The staff were very accommodating to me which i appreciated. they allowed me to stow my pack until 5pm as i had a night bus to catch. the bigest problem i saw with this hostel was that the shower and the toilet were in the same room in the dorm and there was only 1. That meant that we had a few people waiting to either shower or use the bathroom. Other than that the dorms were comfortable and clean and my stay was good.

Lovely hostel in a great location, just off the main road and next to a string of tasty restaurants. The rooms are secluded in beautiful gardens making everything quiet and cool. Friendly staff and very friendly little cat! We stayed in the private Frida Room which is big and colourfully decorated, felt like a little B&B not a hostel. Only downside was plumbing works happening outside very smelly - but future guests will get to enjoy great plumbing!

A nice enough hostel with friendly staff, but terrible security. The rooms were often left wide open (which also let in mosquitos), and there are storage lockers, but they are very small. Still, much better than La casa de sol (where i stayed the next night), and not as good as The Weary Traveler (where i also stayed two nights in Tulum. Still, nice atmosphere. The wifi wouldnt work in the dorm well though.

I had the private Frida room. It wasn't cheap. But it was awesome! Hot water. Good mattress. Clean. Good location. Helpful staff. Close to a great French cafe that does awesome crepes!
