Nice place with a lot of character. Staff is friendly and lets you do your own thing. The homemade breakfast bread was excellent. Overall it was a great place to hang out and relax.

I spent few days in this nice hostel. At desk, Roberto, was really nice. The hostel is clean and the kitchen was fully accesorized.

Dirty kitchen, rotting food in the fridge, sheets hanging to dry in the outdoor common area, about 10 blocks from the bus station (to me 10 blocks with a pack is a hike, the site made it seem a couple blocks away). Breakfast was one rock hard roll with some jam, and coffee. One staff member was helpful in explaining good places to hike, but the others barley said hello. Front door didn't always lock and was often left open, didn't see where there was a place to lock up your bags.

When we arrived at the hostel there was no answer at the door, we waited outside for about 45 mins until we finally called the number and were told that bthe owner was called away on an "emergency". The upshot of the story is that the place was closed and nobody told us, we ended up staying at a hostel across the street. Luckily we were there only for one night but it was still bad form on the part of the hostel!
