La Controra Hostel Naples Reviews

It was a good hostel and I appreciate the breakfast a lot! The things I will change are: - manteniance of the blankets (they are very old) - lockers with padlock or keys - manteniance of the lockers (tables on the back ate all broken and you can easly access ones lockers from the back) - signs in Bathrooms and Dinner room so guests can know the rules of the hostel (the ladies bathrooms where entirely dirty because of the guests and not because of the hostel, the same with the bar, kitchen...)

A really nice place to stay, nice people, nice atmo, clean and welcoming

This hostel is by far the best I have been in my trip through Europe. I totally recommend it. I would go back.

nice hostel, a bit far from main area but easy to get to via metro....was clean and staff were helpful...free pasta with ur drink from bar...overall good hostel

staff is quite friendly and helpful. But there is nothing to eat in the breakfast but cereal and marmelade. Location is safe but a bit out of center, it is easy to find it though.

This is the first time I have stayed at a Hostel. I was not sure what to expect, but was pleased to find a very clean room, comfortable bed, helpful friendly people at the front desk, and a good selection for breakfast. I would consider staying at a hostel again in the future and would certainly stay at this one again !

The staff was very helpful, they recommended a fantastic kayak tour. Also the boat tour to Capri was amazing!

Although it is said that Naples is not a very safe place to choose to spend your vacation I have seen it very friendly. The hostel is very safe, there were some events organized in the evenings really cool atmosphere. The offer "Get a drink and receive free pasta" was really cool! You have many usefull information posted in all reception and you can have a really relaxing time in the interior garten. Also you can choose different tours or just choose to rent a movie/game/book and chill around.

The only good thing about this hostel was the breakfast. The staff was not friendy or helpfull in any way. Bathrooms were not very clean and location i think it was far from the center but it was near a metro station. Zero atmospher

A great hostel, and further evidence that you can find great hostels that are not expensive in Europe. Good atmosphere, a bar with cheap prices. Free breakfast and wifi great. Communal kitchen. Bathrooms could be better, but for the price one of the best I've stayed in Europe.

Hostel was in a sketchy area but was secure itself. Rooms were big, clean, good locker space but there was only one outlet to charge your things in the entire room. Washroom facilities were not that good, on my floor there was 1 lockable washroom to shower in and showers DO NOT STAY HOT for more then 2 min. Dinner was false advertised, the guy there makes one thing of pasta and thats it! He makes a separate meal and has a party in the back for his friends, soo weird! its ok for a place to sleep.

I liked very much the offer from the bar. I bought a drink and I received delicious pasta for free :d... The atmosphere created in the evenings are really nice and the garden is lovelly.....

I had an amazing stay . It's excellent in all terms. It's very clean and I loved how the staff were friendly and outgoing. The atmosphere is so nice I would highly recommend this hostel to the visitors of Naples.

Great Hostel,staff very helpful, clean and safe. I really enjoyed, at 20.00 at bar they give you free pasta was awesome! definitely recommended

The hostel is close to the metro station, and that's a great position to go anywhere (just a bit out-of-the-way for the port). The hostel has a beautiful garden where you can relax, with free wifi. The kitchen and the common room are quite small, but they were cozy and friendly. Our room was a nice double, but the floor was quite dirty and dusty, and though the hostel has been recently renovated, on the wall the plaster was striped off. if your room is close to the bar, it gets noisy at night!!

Should NOT be classified a hostel, but a SUPER HOSTEL. Incredibly clean & intelligently set BATHROOMS, spacious and conditioned ROOMS with lockers for everyone. TV, BOOKS, PCs & WIFI. Interior PUB with cheap drinks, vibrant music. Abundant, energetic & fruity BREAKFAST. Located on the crossroad of the most important/well-connected sight & Metro stations of Naples.
