Very solid hostel! There is nothing to complain about. Very central, super nice staff, pretty much anything you could want in a hostel.

This place is super clean and seems like its nearly brand new. We rented a private double room and it was extremely clean and nice. The staff was also very helpful when needed. The only thing is I would recommend knowing the exact address because there is no sign for this place!

La Controra was very new, clean and great to stay in. The kitchen was a little small, and there were some mosquitos that tortured me at night, but these are the only thing I could find fault with. The fact that there was a kitchen was a good start! It was in a good locations, the staff were really nice and there were lockers, and a good shared space to relax. Free wifi a big bonus unlike other places I stayed in where I had to pay for it

Great Hostel. The staff was extremely helpful especially Marva. Very close to the train station (10 minutes walking). The breakfast was decent and the hostel was very clean. There are lockers inside the room which is a plus. Everything was good. I would definitely stay here again if I ever happen to visit Rome again!

Great hostel, spacious room with ensuite bathroom. Met amazing people, nice comfy chill zone with bean bags to figure out where to go next. In between Termini (train station) and the Trevi Fountain - location seemed pretty excellent.

The hostel is really warm. You have free wifi connection all around the hostel and computers in the main hall if you don´t have a personal device. The price of the bedroom includes buffet breakfast. It is near the Termini Station, very good location. The room was clean and the staff is very friendly and helpful. I recommend this hostel 100%.

overall excellent (esp LOCATION!) but it can be difficult to locate - the direction on hostelworld isn't very helpful. the street is a very small one so they should have pointed out what other streets you can to pass through to get to the hostel, instead of just giving a general direction.

Took me a bit to find because of a combination of not-so-great directions provided by the hostel and the fact that the street is so small that it doesn't appear on many of the tourist maps. The location was great - within 3 blocks of two different metro stations, very walkable to places like Trevi Fountain, PIazza Republicca, Termini Station, etc. Bring a lock because there are lockers, and breakfast (toast, cereal, coffee/tea) is provided. 10 euro deposit for the key. Easy to meet people

The Hostel was VERY Clean and the rooms were Excellent. I arrived late because my flight was delayed, so I ended up getting to the Hostel close to 1 am. Maritza, the person at the door for the night, stayed an extra hour just waiting for me without even knowing if I was going to make it! It was a life-saver since I would have had no place to stay! They really care about their clients and the staff was very friendly!

This was definitely one of the best hostels I've ever stayed in. The staff is unbelievably friendly and helpful, all of them. The facilities include computers free of charge, nice common area, excellent breakfast and so on. I strongly recommend this place and I'd definitely stay there again.

I did a 2 month trip arround europe, stayed in like 15 hostels, and this one was the best I´ve been. GREAT location! SUPER CLEAN PLACE, GREAT ROOMS: big, lockers, big bathroom. The staff is really helpfull. A super big breakfast is included. It is not a party hostel. LOVED THE HOSTEL, LOVED ROME, LOVED ITALY! Ciaooo!
