La Controra Hostel was a perfect place to stay in the Eternal City. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful in assisting with any of our needs. The rooms were spacious and tidy. The hostel itself is located close enough to the Trevi Fountain and the Metro that you never have to worry about being too far from the action, yet far enough away to enjoy a peaceful evening. Would absolutely recommend this hostel to my friends and would stay here again!

Spectacularly clean for Rome, this hostel has a prime location in a grand old bulding with spacious, airy dorms, large security lockers, and a bean bag-ladden common room.

The hostel is a very nice place to stay, good location, great staff, really clean but no wifi on the 1st floor, which was not soo bad since the conection was great on the 3rd floor. The kichen is good and has whats necessary to cook your food. My girlfriend was sick during one night and the staff was really helpfull. I would definetelly recommend La Controra in Rome.

Very nice and extremely clean hostel. It's location is very good too. Don't expect much from the breakfast though. This hostel is almost perfect. Maybe the best hostel I have stayed in my life.

Fantastic hostel - best easily of the three I have used in Rome. The location is great, near Termini. Staff are really helpful and informative. Only thing I'd recommend to improve is the directions to the hostel, though maybe it was just me having a blonde day.

Really good hostel, very friendly staff, good location: not far from 2 metro stations, but in Rome you don't need it, because it's better to know town thrue walking ;)

I have had a very good time in the hostel and that while I'am not a hostel type. I think because it was particularly because of the personal: they where really very nice and attentive. Next the hostel was clean and quitte, the breakfast complete and the location central and safe. I can recommend this place to others! Gr. from the Netherlands.

This s a fantastic hostel. It truly feels like home and it is possibly the most comfortable hostel I've stayed at (if hoscar had a best blanket award, they would win it). The staff is extremely nice and helpful and they can put a smile on your face. The only reason why I haven't given 100% to them is because the wifi doesn't reach the rooms and one has to be outside. While it has it's social benefits, I think this is something the hostel should fix. Other than this, it really is excellent!

Excellent. Friendly staff, clean rooms. Only one minor hiccup with our room (we booked a 4 bed private and we came back one night to find another person in one of the extra beds). Good breakfast. Not too far from the train station. However, the hostel itself should be marked a bit better. The name was only by the doorbell and that was hard to spot. A sign would be helpful.
