A good first night in Guatemala, close to the city centre although there is not much there, I heard Zone 10 has more to see and do. I felt very welcome and safe here and the breakfast was home made with love. You would not find this place by yourself so getting collected by the taxi that the owner arranges is your best bet.

We enjoyed our stay at La Coperacha. The room we stayed in was very comfortable, and they gave us a lot of blankets because it wasn't the warmest. The breakfast in the morning was really wonderful, and it was nice to have access to tea all the time. If it hadn't been raining, I think we would have liked to spend time outside in the hammocks.

great place, unmarked so you have to know where it is. Nice place, great decor, Lucien is great and knowledgable, speaks english, can arrange onward transport. breakfast is filling and delicious

Really lovely hostel - immaculately clean, huge rooms, lots of local information readily available and generally beautiful in every way. Really can't understand why more people weren't staying there - it's only a 10 min walk to the center of town and it felt more like a 3/4 star hotel (albeit with share bathroom) rather than a hostel. Owner also gave us an excellent restaurant recommendation that we'd have never have found left to our own devices. Thank you!

The owner is quirky but awesome. Our bus arrived early into Guatemala city and he let us in at 5:30 in the morning. We were served breakfast with the best eggs we’ve ever eaten and we were in our room by 7 am. Our room was spacious, quiet, and clean with a much needed mosquito net. The bathrooms were clean and had hot water.

It's a great place and the owner is extremely helpful ( he even cycled down to the coach station to get a ticket for me)! Thanks Lucien:)
