Felt like a safe part of Guatemala City. Close to a good area with restaurants and shops, banks. Lucien was extremely helpful and knowledgeable about where to go, and how to get around. Breakfasts were delicious and the bathrooms were spotless; and the bed was comfortable. Would stay here again if we come back the Guatemala City.

Our stay in La Coperacha was very good! It's a nice location and worth the money! We felt secure in this dangerous city. We had Wifi and were able to use the kitchen. The breakfast was typical guatemalan and tasted good! We felt comfortable and would totally go there again. Thank you very much!

We had a great time staying La Coperacha Hostel. The manager Lucien was very friendly and knowledgeable of the surrounding and he went above and beyond with all of our needs. He walk us to the donwntown Ciuda de Guatemala on 6-a Avenida, pointing us the important official buildings and a bit of the history of Guate. The hostel is nioce and quiet, located in a very safe area. Muchas gracias Lucien, merci beaucop, many thanks. Marius, Alina, Lucian & Ciprian

We stayed at La Coperacha for one night and felt very safe here. The owner was extremely helpful booking taxis for us and he even accompanied us to the bus stop to ensure we didn't get lost, which we greatly appreciated. Our room was clean and cosy and we enjoyed the delicious home cooked breakfast that was included. Thanks so much for all you help!

Lucien you seemed to genuinely like the company of the guest who passed through the hostel. I would definitely stay here again. A unique atmosphere which I liked very much. You have a special place where travellers can meet, share and talk. No expensive furniture but that just added to the character of the hostel. Maybe see you again some day. Cheers, Robert

I'd say this was one of my favorite hostels and by far my favorite in Guatemala. The design inside the dwelling was very unique in that it has an open roof in the center. What I liked most however was the international appeal and character of the guests and of the host. This was far different from a party hostel. While you had guests of all ages and cultures, everyone was unique, the atmosphere was gregarious, and the conversations interesting. About a half hour walk from downtown.

Luciano was very helpful with advice about what to see, where to eat, and had an excellent knowledge of places to go outside of the Guate. Breakfast was included, and they even arranged a shuttle for us from the airport then to the bus to Pana. Don't think you can beat this place for the price, and the location is a nice safe stroll to Zona 1. Excelente!

Great location and we felt safe in a city that is considered dangerous. the room was large, breakfast was delicious and staff were helpful. We'd recommend staying in this Zona as it had a good vibe and was still within walking distance of shops and restaurants.

I stayed in La Coperacha for ten days while on a work trip to Guatemala City. The place is located in a quiet, safe area of the city - not super central, but within easy access from the main attractions and the airport. The hostel is in a classic Guatemalan casona, refurbished and very pleasantly decorated. There was a very nice crowd when I stayed, which I really appreciated on my breaks from writing. Great value for price.

My stay was even better than expected. The host was very helpful in giving suggestions about what to visit and how much to pay for taxis, etc. Breakfast was great. Showers were hot. The bed was comfortable. The location was good and fairly quiet. I hope to have another chance to stay here in the future.
