We loved it here. The bed was comfy, shower warm, kitchen fully equipped and friendly staff always available to help. Its an easy walk from the bus terminal too. It's very relaxed and in the perfect location. Salta is a beautiful place. I recommend staying here. Oh and they have no problem storing you luggage if you have a late flight!

I had a ton of fun at this hostel! The staff/owners are amazing, the asados and food they cooked for us was awesome. Clean and cozy, I loved that place so much that I returned after a little trip in the north!

The owners of this hostel made the stay worth it! We had some awesome rooftop dinners with everyone staying at the hostel and then all went out together a couple times and had a lot of fun. It's in a good location only a few blocks from San Martin Park and from Plaza Julio. You can also walk from the bus station or take like $2-3 cab ride.

Diego and his brother and sister are very nice and helpful. The wifi is good and there is reception in the rooms. the computer however, hardly works and even when it does the screen is awful! could improve on cleanliness but overall good and recommended

Stayed here for 2 nights in a private twin room with a shared bathroom. The hostel was quiet at the time so this affected the atmosphere. The staff are really relaxed and nice. The breakfast is very basic but the kitchen is a good size to make your own dinner. The bathrooms and rooms are a good size. It is a short walk into the centre, to the viewpoint and to the bus station.

Only two bathrooms containing toilet/shower for the whole hostel - meant some long waits for the bathroom in the morning. Bathrooms were rather dirty and shower pressure was close to the worst we have had in South America. Private room was great value for money though and quite spacious. Staff were very helpful in organising tours to nearby areas. 5-10 minute walk from main plaza.

The hostel was a great place to stay. The family owned hostel is small, comfortable, and filled with great vibe. The hostel is truly a Covacha! Staff had excellent knowledge of local activities and nightlife. If you are lookiing for a chill place with good people the Covacha is great.

Staff are lovely and helpful and we felt like they were one of the backpackers at times! Kitchen was used as communal area so was not really enough room for everyone of you were trying to cook. Rooms clean enough but only 2 showers for all of hostel which was a real pain at times as it you often had to wait. Hot water could be temperamental. BBQ was amazing not to be missed!

Diego is wonderful and has tons of info about Salta (city and region). The room off the courtyard can get a little noisy if propel are sitting there talking at night. Otherwise, it's a great location, close to the plaza (5 min walk) but also close to the bus station (10 min walk). I highly recommend this hostel.

The hostel is a very short walking distance from main plaza and bus terminal. Room and bathrooms were perfectly clean. Staff was excellent, very friendly and helpful. There was a barbecue party on roof top terrace, starts 11 pm, but we regrettably did not participate due to need of sleep before early morning bus. Overall: great value for money.

Diego and his crew do everything to make your stay as plesant as possible. He is very experienced and shares his knowledge whenever he can - highly appreciated. The showers are good and really hot water served - while if there are too many people taking a shower, the water pressure may drop a little. The hostel is centrally located and all sites in town are easily accessible by foot. An excellent feature is the roof top that you must see. Else the kitchen is kept clean and is as always a great p

We had a good time at La Covacha but the common rooms could be kept cleaner. The staff was always friendly and helpful and we had a great barbecue night on the roof top terrace.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Bathroom and kitchen could be cleaner - but this is partly a "problem" of the people staying there.

Pretty nice hostel, dorms are good-sized, and you can store things in the dressers in the rooms or security lockers in the hallway. Close to just about anything you want to see in the city.

Helpful staff. Nice kitchen but gets a bit crowded at dinner time. Great roof terrace! We asked if an early breakfast was possible since we had to leave at 6:30 to catch a bus, and they said yes, but the night staff seemed to be sleeping so we ended up not eating breakfast and calling a taxi ourselves.

One of the best hostels I have been too. The staff are incredibly, INCREDIBLY friendly, helpful and know exactly what it takes to run an excellent hostel. Always a community spirit, always fun things ging on (if you feel like participating) but also a great place to relax, quiet and clean. They really took care of me and I very highly recommend this hostel to anyone going to salta! Also very affordable and in a great location
