Owner Comment (Show)
Hi! The Dolce Vita has 2 gas-powered hot water tanks (240 lt. altogether) that produce hot water 24/24. All you need to know about our hot water system is written down in our guest information, available in each room. Having a personal contact with our guests is very important to us. We spoke together on several occasions but neither you nor your friends mentioned anything about this. Remember, you even wanted to stay longer...?! No other guest informed us of a hot water problem either, not so in a very long time. In any case, we are sorry if you feel that there was a problem and we really would have appreciated knowing about it so that we could have taken some action right away.

An excellent hostel in Sucre. It is clean, comfortable, quiet, secure and the hosts are very informed, helpful and kind. No breakfast but if you can get a booking, go there.

A really nice hostel for those looking for a break from the tiring stress of travelling. Really liked having our own key to the front door which made it feel more personal and like our own little house in a way. Run by a very friendly couple, safe, clean and in a good location in the city.

A fabulous place to stay in Sucre. Our bins were emptied and room tidied every second day which we thought was great. Most hostels won't do that for private rooms. Staff were super helpful with any recommendations or help we needed.

Fantastic hostel, huge rooms, hot showers, great communal kitchen and the staff were extremely helpful. One of the best hostels we have stayed in. Would recommend to anyone.

This hostel is more like a hotel. We enjoyed Dolce Vita so much that we actually extended our stay for 1 week. We were not the only travelers who extended our stay. The reasons why is that the staff is very welcoming and the owners pay extra attention to detail. (e.g. storage space, hooks and hangers in the rooms, very well equiped kitchen, great common room with a great selection of DVDs).

The top rating says it all. We stayed here for about 8 days and all through we couldn´t fault the place. Rooms are HUGE and the whole place is spotless, good communal areas and inside area to chill with a huge collection of films. Very friendly owners with good local knowledge. Close to everything you want or need in Sucre. Stayed in a room with shared bathroom which was spotlessly clean at all times. Can't recommend this place highly enough and the price is brilliant for what you get! x

We loved La Dolce Vita. Very friendly and helpful owner. Beautiful and thoughtfully decorated rooms. Good social spaces and great location. The only thing that could have improved the hostel would be a computer for guest use (although there is wifi).

This is my favorite hostel, by far, in all of my travels. We had the private double room at the front of the hostel and it was beautiful. Big, clean, adorable bathroom. The common areas are excellent and well taken care of. The owners are very friendly, accommodating and calm. We saw the origins show, which the hostel recommends and that was excellent as well. The little two story patio in the middle of the hostel is beautiful. The kitchen is clean, well equipped and big.

We extended our stay as the hostel was exactly what we needed to recuperate after some fairly continuous travelling. A well-equipped kitchen was a bonus and the balcony upstairs terrace eating area was a perfect place to meet other travellers. The staff are fantastic. Rooms are only cleaned twice a week (would expect the toilet bin to be cleaned daily) but all have character. The room by the front door is a little noisey due to people slamming it closed.

This is, without a doubt, the nicest place we have stayed in Bolivia. Excellent location, beautiful rooms and the owner is extremely friendly and helpful. There are mostly (only?) single or double rooms, so to take part of the social life you have to get out of your room - the kitchen is very nice, and we had a couple of rally nice evenings with other travellers at the outdoor terrace. Book ahead, as it seems to be fully booked as good as always.
