The reason we ended up liking Riomaggiore most out of the five towns is probably because of La Dolce Vita Rooms. It provided a great home base, the staff were beyond nice (we broke a wine glass and they brought us two new gigantic ones free of charge!), and the town was beautiful. We highly recommend staying here!

We had an absolutely gorgeous room right in the heart of Riomaggiore, walking distance to the train station and easy access to the walks between the towns. Unfortunately for us we were in low season and had trouble finding places to eat as most were closed, the 2 restaurants we did find open were both fantastic and we had no complaints at all. Room was big and clean although we had to stock our own toilet paper! Very laid back Italian town and casual host, perfect place to relax and enjoy CT!

We had a wonderful time! We were expecting a room and got a studio apartment instead; it was great. Very clean and our hosts were lovely.

We had a lovely appartment with a sea view and a little balcony. My daughter and I asked for twin beds but we did even better because the large room had some glass doors, making a smaller bedroom area, so we had a room each! Also the shower/bathroom was wonderful and the staff were extremely helpful and friendly.. The only minus was the minimal kitchen facilities. There was a fridge, sink and microwave but nothing to cook on. Eating out is pricey and microwaves are rather limiting.

We enjoyed the fact that the room was large. There was plenty of room for all of our bags, etc. It was also clean and that was a plus, too. The only problems were that the room was at the top of a long stairway. After a long day of travel, it was daunting to climb four stories of steps to get to the room. It was also"light deprived." The windows opened to a blank wall on the oppisite side of a our foot wide alleyway.

Nice spacious room. But the stay was compromised by no servicing during the 3 days, (with no toilet paper provided.) The Managers managed to demonstrate no hospitality skills and never a good morning was said during the 3 days. We passed by the office and met in the street and there was no greeting. We enjoyed Cinque Terre but would not recommend our friends stay at La Dolce Vita.

Right in the heart of Riomaggiore and the room was huge and spacious. The room had everything we needed: air con, fridge and was clean. Would definitely recommend La Dolce Vita to anyone who plans on staying there. Loved it!

Make sure you arrive before 5:30! I was stuck at the airport and tried calling them several times to advise. However a lady, who doesn't speak a word in english, was very rude and kept hanging up the phone. Other than that, everything else was very nice. I got a room with no view at all(our window was facing the neighbour's terrace). However, the room was huge with a small kitchenette and a shower. Simple and extremely clean.

The room was at the top of a very steep staircase which was hard with luggage and climbing up and down daily. There was no balcony to sit out on. The bathroom had a bad odour.

The room was very large and had a modern, updated bathroom. I was most excited about the balcony with a wonderful view of the Mediterranean Sea! You do have to go to the main office on the main street to get more towels or extra blankets, but we passed by there several times a day anyway and there was always staff present.

Great place to stay in whilst visiting the Cinque Terre. Big clean room (2 bed apartment) and clean bathroom. Great location (Manarola, one of the end towns so makes it easy to do the walk). Only thing was that they don't open reception until 2pm so we had to sit outside with our bags until then. Definitely recommend.

Lovely room, very spacious, nice shower and bathroom, nice balcony. Noisy at night but fine if you close the doors to the balcony.
