Lovely small family run hostel in a quiet location. Very friendly and bikes and boots hired out. Thoroughly recommended. One of the best places I have stayed at in South America.

I found this to be a very nice hostel. The owners are very friendly and very helpful if you need it. They didn't speak much english, but it was hardly a problem. The 4 bedroom dorm we stayed in was small, but it wasn't that bad, although we didn't have all 4 beds taken up at once. They give you a key to get in and out of the hostel which was nice. All in all, I found it very pelsent. The view out the back on a good morning is incredible!

The owners were very warm and friendly and helpful. Would answer all questions with a smile. Good information provided on the coffee tour and trek. Showers were warm and clean but only 2 bathrooms which meant there were queues sometimes. It's not a noisy hostel - it's very quiet by 11pm but sound does carry if you want an early night. Lovely gardens to sit in, wellies to borrow and good coffee available in the mornings. Would recommend staying here.

The people here are really helpful, but we found the accommodations really basic. Our private room with bathroom was small, but we enjoyed having a door to the outside. The place is very secure, and the main users are young people whom we enjoyed meeting. The owner is very casual and his whole family is there. We enjoyed an intimate look at family life. Thank you, La Floresta.

The owners and staff speak pretty much no English, but are still amongst the most helpful and pleasant hostel staff we've ever met. The location is a little bit away from the centre of town/main square (maybe a 7-8 minute walk) but that cuts both ways: it's farther away from the shops, etc., but it's also further from the noise and fuss of the main tourist district.

The Floresta Hostal is a very good Hostel with its very nice owner. He is always open for helping you, explaining the region and what you can probably do. It is a hostel owned by a family that is also living in the hostel. Everything is clean and you can drink coffee or tea during the day for free. The tea was excellent for me :) So if you want a nice hostel in a family business and no party hostel than you should stay there...

La Floresta was welcoming and though a bit of a walk from the center of town, it was a good place to base ourselves. The communal areas are generous but as they run along side the familly area at times we felt conscious of making too much noise. The only criticism was the freezing cold showers. They were frighteningly cold and it just wasn't hot enough outside to find them refreshing at all.
