Really good hostel. Good alternative for the other hostel where most ppl go 15 min walk from this hostel. So if you want to be close to town chose this hostel! best showers!

eliana, a girl that works at the reception, was the most friendly person i've ever met at a hostel. she would take time to help everyone, from finding a bus ride to explain anything about the places you could go in salento. biggest proof that a great staff can make the stay at a hostel much better.

We had a great stay at La Floresta. We stayed in a tent for two nights and a private for one. Eliana was wonderful and helped us with all the attractions nearby as well as switch rooms! The tent was a little cramped for us and our stuff but once we found the storage room for packs everything was much easier. It is a short walk from the square which is nice because it is a bit quieter (we went during a big fiesta).

We stayed 5 nights and enjoyed our stay. We stayed at a private room with a private bathroom. Room and bathroom were always clean. We can use a kitchen to cook even though we did not cook much. They also provided free coffee and tea which we enjoyed it much. Internet was fast. Owner was always cheerful and helpful. They gave us all helpful info on coffee farm tour, Cocora vally hiking, etc. The best part is to meet other wonderful tourists at their commons to share info and experience.

The hostel was overall good. The staff is very welcoming and give you lots of advice (and discounts) for your stay in Salento. The prices of the rooms are very reasonable, the only drawback was a funny smell on the room that we had. Would recommend this place to everyone that want's a place near town with good facilities and for a good price.

La Floresta is a nice, warm home in the beautiful Salento village, special place to relaxing while enjoying the natural environment and landscape! The hostel is great and the staff even more, making you feel like at home. Very kind persons; they welcome you at any time with a hot, traditional coffee, giving all the info re the place and what to do in the area. Rooms are clean and nice, with hot water for shower! The kitchen-living room is big and useful. Ms. Vivi and the owners good heart people

La Floresta is an excellent place to stay - comfy beds, friendly staff, a 5 min walk to the plaza and they also give you loads of advice and 10% discount in certain restaurants. Great!

A nice hostel located about a ten minute walk from the main square. Staff are so helpful and even organised our bus ticket to Bogota for cheaper than what we were going to pay ourselves! Rooms are very comfortable

A great hostel with super sweet staff! The hostel has a spectacular view of the mountains, and overall was very nice. Our room wasn't sound insulated, and it took some finagling to get the hot water to work, but those were minor. The place was warm and welcoming, and I'd definitely consider staying here again if I were returning to Salento.
