Not to be confused with the other backpackers la fortuna (on the main road). Very kind and helpful staff, but unfortunately too many annoying mosquitos
We had reservations for a double room for two nights. When we arrived, nobody knew anything about our reservation. But we were "lucky" to get two beds in a dorm. After the long bus ride we immediatly took off to grab something to eat. When we came back at about 10:30 all the doors were locked and the staff was gone. Thanks god some other guests could let us in. But at night time you could not get out the front door. They have lockout at 10! Toilet is open and besides the front desk.
This its not the first hostel that i have been around the world ! surely not the best for atmosphere ; the owners its rude and short-temper . Price more expensive thar what we agreed in advance. Cold shower, linens worn , and very plain room.

There is only one pan and it can get complicated if more than one person wants to cook. We would have enjoyed a welcoming with offers of the different activities in the area, but I think it is mostly due to the person who welcomed us. Another lady which gave me the impression to be the manager was more helpful and suggest us a nice budget restaurant which was delicious. Cerra chato hike is really worth it!
Hostel was clean. Staff spoke English and were knowledgable. Town was very interesting.
