La Fortuna Backpackers

Here converge big touristic attractions, including the majestic Arenal Volcano, accompanied by the hot spring, whitewater rafting, waterfalls and the tropical rain forest.

We have gotten, the opportunity of travelling in Costa Rica and other countries, visiting beautiful places, the experience gain on this trips and joining with another travelers have given us the idea of creating this place, covering the expectative and needs from the people who is looking for knowing different places, people and cultures, lodging with low costs.

The project have been growing during a couple of years, until February 2010, when we open "La Fortuna Backpackers" doors, a hostel of maximum capacity of 16 people in 8 bunk beds, perfectly located in La Fortuna downtown, we are just 200 mts from the banks, couple of meters from supermarkets, drugstores, little "sodas" and restaurants.

The building where is located the hostel, is the house built from our parents 24 years ago, we extended and conditioned part of the house for placing the restrooms, equipped the kitchen and our father built all the bunk beds, every single member of our family has collaborated in remodeling our childhood house, and make it become "La Fortuna Backpackers"

We are participants of the tourism in armory with the environment, cultural interchange and friendship.

We built this hostel for the visitors interested in knowing the natural beauties of Costa Rica, we are looking forward for receiving you in our home, provide you a bed in the beautiful town of La Fortuna and share your memories with us.
