Very nice location near the old town (although the old town is very quiet in the evening). Amazing city views from the rooftop terrace. Serves an adequate breakfast for 3 usd. Also very convenient is the good tour operator Carpe DM across the street.

Good location- walking distance to old down. Great roof top terrace with excellent wifi and one of the best views across the city in Quito.

A nice hostel with comfortable common area and stunning view from roof terrace. There is not much in terms of fun at night though, it's very much family run. Goof value for you money.

We weren't at all impressed with our stay here, it was one of the worst places we stayed at in South America!! The kitchen is open till 10pm, but you'd be very lucky if the staff can be bothered cooking anything for you, they're more interested in getting high on the rooftop!! Bathrooms were disgraceful, no lockers in the rooms for your belongings, my feet got more dirty walking around barefoot in the room than they did outside!! Find somewhere else

A fantastic place to stay! Nice people, comfortable, great value, great location. Showers could use some improvement and none of the soap dispensers had soap. It would be convenient to have lockers on all floors. Sean is awesome! He should get a raise. :)

Bed was comfy, place was fine. Info from staff was a bit hit and miss though. Not many bathrooms, which is probably only a problem if you're in a hurry. When I stayed it sounded like breakfast was available every day, but lunch or dinner you just had to go up to the terrace and see if the cook was there.

Clean hostel with good location, but there aren't really any common areas where you can meet other travelers. There is a rooftop deck with a view, but we were consistently the only ones using it? Desk isn't super helpful as far as recommendations for spending time in Quito.

I stayed here for 3 nights and it was pretty good. There is a cool rooftop bar with a great view and a great breakfast. Beds are a little shaky, which is rough for bunk beds, but the mattresses are comfortable and it's relatively quiet.

Not as cosy as the (more expensive) secret garden on the opposite of the street, but the hostel is just fine: clean, in walking distance of many sites and to me very important: hot water :) Especially nice, since the nights are rather chilly. roof terrace is great, but if you're looking for a social place, have your beer across the street like I did ;)

Great hostel with good common areas, wifi and comfy beds. I liked the movie nights but it almost encouraged people to not talk to each other so there weren't any party nights here but that might have just been that I didn't meet the right people!

I found the prices a bit expensive so I changed to a less expensive hostel but other than that it was nice

Good hostel just a 5-10 min walk from the old town main plaza. Set in a lovely old building with nice roof bar.

This hostel was a great find - the beds were warm, it was reasonably priced (especially the wine carton), and the staff was very helpful with maps and advice on how to get around. they helped us find the local bus to the train station. the breakfast on the roof is fantastic! you do have to pay for it but it's not expensive and you get eggs, bacon, a roll, juice, and coffee. the roof has a great view. and old town is a great place to stay. i would go back for sure.

Nice people. Chilled atmosphere. Friendly staff. Weird pillows and could do with lockers nearer the dorms.

It was generally a good hostel but just a couple of problems - no one told us that there was no food served at weekends so we waited for dinner and breakfast wasted a lot of time waiting before giving up, in fact the guy working there didn't even know. Even during the week the chef seemed to pick and choose when she cooked dinner. It makes having to pay ($1) to use the kitchen is a bit of a joke. You have to pay to use the computer too. The owners are really friendly and helpful though.

We booked a double with private bathroom but they emailed us prior saying there was a problem and only shared bathroom was available. At least they told us but still disappointing, especially as there was only one toilet per floor and on one morning the showers were cold. Great view from rooftop terrace. Breakfast was good but took a long time.
