They over charged my credit card and I had to keep bugging them until the day I left to sort it out. The room was nice but the floor was dirty and it had very poor audio privacy being right outside the office and main space. THere was an 11pm quiet rule but everyone was socializing quite loudly and kept me awake and i had to ask them to be quiet on both nights of my stay and got to sleep very late and this affected by trip negatively. The office outside my door woke me early in the morning also

Just a great place to stay when in Montreal. Very clean, best location you can wish for. Cozy living room and kitchen. The 22 bed dorm might look big but work out just great. Highly recommemed!

Unbelievable hostel!! Great owners and staff, flexible and friendly, great layout. Cleaned every day, fresh sheets and towels on demand, fast free wifi. Atmosphere was staying at your favourite aunty's house with your cousins. Can be loud on weekends, but come on - during igloofest with all the underage americans coming in, to be expected. They quietened down when told. All in all, an amazing experience in my first stay in a hostel at the rip old age of 31. Well done Naima and cheers Nadia!

Hostel was amazing! Stayed with 4 other friends in the 6 person dorm. Really clean with great character. Also right in the main tourism area and close to the water. I loved the character and the fact that they had a bunch of musical instruments for anyone to play in the living room. Plus a great kitchen for anyone making meals. Really great stay, Merci!

We were a bit unlucky here, since some other guests decided to party in the kitchen (very close to our room) till 3am then the fire alarm went off at 5 :S Very nice place tho, really nice guy who owns it and a great room right in the old town of Montreal. Thanks again Marc

La Maison du Patriote is the nicest hostel I have ever stayed in. I have stayed in about 12 hostels in various countries and this one was definitely the one with the most atmosphere as well as comfort, the best. It feels like staying with a family friend; it is clean, the 22 bed dorm feels like it's much smaller because of the curtain partitions, the people are great, the location is fantastic, an all round good time. Comfortable, clean, fun, homely.

Important to remember that you cannot checkin after 9pm! Plastic pillows are a bit uncomfortable. Otherwise comfortable and clean. Skippy is a lovely dog, mostly, however, she does bite. Best to only touch skippy on her body and avoid the head. Walking distance to everything you would want to see in Quebec city. Places to eat, drink and do grocery shopping close by.

This was one of the best hostels I've stayed at. It was very cozy and it seemed like everyone who came in was awesome. We played music, went out together, and talked a lot. This hostel gives you a lot of freedom as well, which was refreshing. The big dorm room upstairs was comfortable and works surprisingly well for the number of people it holds. Will stay here again when I return.

My friends and I stayed here for NYE and absolutely loved it. The hostel attracts very friendly and outgoing people that really made our experience perfect. The hostel itself is very quaint and in a great location-I would definitely recommend it!

I had an amazing time, i was in the large mixed door which enabled me to meet lots of people. The hostel is in a great location with the town right outside the door with lots to do. I visited over New year where the fireworks are let off is just right outside the door, i definitely recommend visiting.

It's very warm and welcoming. Though washroom and showers are limited, they are really clean. Staff and people are all great! Thanks!

There needs to be a sign in the kitchen and lower levels that tells guests that silent time is from 11pm. It was awful having to police downstairs as guests, seeing there is not staff. I got into heated debates at 4am with other guests about the rules of the place. There were people talking in the kitchen until 4am. Despite me coming out to talk to them they were dismissive and said the kitchen is still open. You NEED a sign there.

Charming hostel. Just wish the washer and dryer weren't in the dorm space. People were running it all night both nights we were there. Made getting sleep impossible. If it weren't for that this hostel would be near perfect.

I thought this was an amazing stay. It was definitely not what I expected at all in the best possible way. It was cozy and so near to everything. I loved meeting all the other travellers and being able to come in and go out at all hours of the night. I would absolutely recommend this hostel to anyone trying to find a place in the area. I have no complaints. I dont know what everyone else is talking about regarding noise - i had no issues and am the lightest sleeper.
