Maison du Patriote was a really charming little place in the heart of Old Port. The location was wonderful; super close to Chinatown, and St. Catherine. The place was kept really clean, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The only issue was the slow wifi, but there were computers that were fairly accessible in the lounge.

I stayed in the 22 bed room. The curtain dividers made it seem a lot smaller. The kitchen was great! Great stay.

Great location near all the action in Montreal. Nice and small with a cozy and sociable feel. We only stayed one night so didn't get to enjoy the place too much but would recommend!

Small and quaint but very clean. Right in the heart of Old Montreal, so it was a bit loud on a Friday night (nightclubs booming across the street). Would stay here again though, great location and very clean facilities.

Very cozy and comfortable room - a private room, that is, with a double bed - and very easy/flexible staff that ensures for safe 24/7 access without them being there. I would go back!

Clean and great location. Having not staff on site after hours leads to inconsiderate people making noise as they pleased until 2am as if there were not 4 rooms with sleeping people in them near the living room.

Very nice clean place however the window was broken therefore making the room cold.

I arrived late (after 8pm) and I found it very convenient that the owners left me a paper with the instructions concerning my stay and on how to enter. I also loved the location of the hostel! However, the wi-fi was not letting me connect to it.

I think the hostel provided a wonderful location, centrally located. The hostel had a quirky charm. The staff were friendly and helpful. My room was cute. The things I did not like was the location of my room since it was in front of the stairs so I could hear all passing foot traffic. Having bathrooms and the showers on separate floors was a little inconvenient as well. This place is a fun place for younger travellers, but may not be the best match for older travellers.

A very unique hostel that really makes you feel at home. The owners are really great people that always do their best to make your stay great. The hostel is located right in the middle of old Montreal which can be good depending on your travel tastes. All you need to cook is already in the kitchen and the owner cleans the hostel daily. If you are a traveller looking to meet people in a great environment, this is an excellent choice.

Charming and cool, the attic bunks feel like a sleepover at your friends place when you are young. I will be back :)

perfect location. It's located on the very famous street, St-Paul St, and every hot place is in walking distance. Some guests were having party in the hostel, so it was a little noisy, but they were allowed to make noise until 11pm. The hostel owner was really kind, but it was a little hard to contact him since he spent only a few hours a day in the hostel. I've been there in the winter, and the room was a little cold. but it was a pretty hostel.

Great hostel with very nice character. I enjoyed the stay much. The location is nice, subway station is only 5 minutes to get anywhere in town and the old part of town is everywhere around the hostel. people where nice and everything you need as a traveller is provided. I was skeptical about the 22 bed dorm and noise at night or other people being to loud but I was proven wrong. Nice hostel, keep up the good work, but get the slow Internet fixed ;)

Great hostel that was always well kept and maintained each day. Great location near the Port and Old Montreal and about a 5 minute walk to the nearest metro stop. Staff wasn't very helpful and it's the only hostel I've stayed at without 24/7 desk service, which was both a good and bad situation. Overall the feel of the hostel is AWESOME and a really chill/fun place to stay for a trip.
