Front desk workers are very friendly, especially Laura

The hostal is a bit like a huge colonial Spanish house, or hacienda. It is very clean and has nice rooms and facilities. It is a great place to relax, but it is isolated and a bit far to walk to the historic part of town. It all depends on what you are looking for. If you are looking for a place that is more natural and relaxing away from touristic parts of town, this place is great. I was staying here due to issues find a rent. The staff were very helpful with my situation.

Recommended for the Hostel itself, NOT FOR THE LOCATION! Far from the city, but if you need to see it you can take a cab or walk (about 30min) downhill and back up. CLEAN rooms/showers/bathrooms FRIENDLY staff GOOD bed's Even though we did not use it, they have a pool/sauna you can use. THE BEST, free SALSA lesson's! Teacher is a super friendly good salsa danser girl that teaches you to move your hips like Shakira.... We did not see options to go get or eat nearby the hostel...

Location: pretty far off from city center but worth it. The setting is amazing, lots of space, saunas, pool and nice breeze on the hill. One thing we really didnt like was sth they call 'descorcho' - the money you have to pay the hostel to open your own bottle of liquor on the premises. It is 25,000 pesos and this, I think (as most backpackers do) is WAY too much. Most people I met there were really NOT happy about this. Other than that, go for it :)

Amazing stay at la pinta! We stayed the new altillo private room which is great and luxurious! The bed was huge and very comfortable and the en suite shower was always hot and it was very spacious. really recommend this room! La pinta has a nice pool and lots of space to relax. Good food too! The staff were all really friendly and helpful. On Friday night Edgar even showed us where to go out salsa dancing and gave us a lift in his car. We hope to come back here on our next visit to Colombia!

Quiet. Clean. Helpful staff!!
