We were greeted on arrival by the lady who runs the hostel and her unpleasant scowl. We were then given the tour which consisted of showing us the 'facilities' which included a kitchen, amusingly described as a cocinita, where you'd struggle to prepare a glass of water; the communal space which is occupied 24/7 by the aforementioned Mrs. Scowl and her grumpy hostel staff; and the bathrooms and showers, both accessed by going through the outdoor courtyard. Great when it gets to -12c at night!
Very friendly and helpful staff, well organised
Staff were really friendly and helpfull, hostal lacked a little atmosphere. we had an early departure and the night porter put on breakfast for us before we left. Stayed in a double room had issues with rising damp in the room.
6 bed dorm was very packed, it felt like too small a room for that many bunks. Nice breakfast, grest coffee. A better common area would make a big difference.
It's a great place and I can't stress how helpful and friendly the staff is. They'll tell you everything you need to know and offer suggestions for whatever it is you want to do in Salta. They also sell bus tickets, which is really, really, convenient. The bathrooms are really spacious and clean as are the rooms. Their cat, Lola, is a doll, she just adds on to the whole experience. Would definitely recommend to anyone traveling to Salta.

Other than the lack of a lock on the door, this is a great hostel with great staff. The three main staff members are really helpful. Rooms are small, but comfy, and the patio and kitchen are clean and suitable for a hostel. Great location, and a great hostel
The staff was one of the best I've had in any hostel. They were all extremely friendly and always went above and beyond to help. Very good hot showers and fast wifi. The only downside is that the kitchen is very simple and there's no fridge, though I didn't mind since there are many restaurants nearby
Amazing hostel, super friendly staff, very helpful. The younger guy booked my bus for me, organising the best route and took no money for himself. Amazing breakfast, great coffee, cute cat, great location, a brilliant first night in Argentina
Its clean, has comfy beds and really helpful friendly staff. Good location. Bit noisy at times from the street outside. Lola the cat is hilarious and crazy. Stayed here twice in between trips.
This is one of the cutest hostels I've been to and it has a really homely atmosphere. The staff is really sweet, they'll help you with everything and can even book bus tickets for you. But be careful, they have a cat and it goes into all the rooms. Because of allergies I probably can't stay here again, but I had a lovely experience anyway.
Excellent hostel, would definitely recommend. Staff are great and hostel is in a good central location. Also offers a good range of well priced tours. Not for those with cat allergies.
Hostels in Salta seem all to be a bit weird. This one is located in a narrow building with some kind of open space/common area at the end. Owners are friendly. Breakfast very basic. Can be loud because room windows face the corridor. Rooms are small and feel crammed. However, overall relaxed athmosphere and I slept quite well. No lockers as far as I can remember.
Lola the cat is a genius and the couple who run the place are lovely. Room was comfy and they do great coffee. The kitchen isn't very good but it was a nice place to get some rest for a couple of days after our hectic journey from San Pedrp to Salta.
On the last day we stayed we checked out, left our bags, and came back to finish our food before our bus. While we were eating, one of the owners came and told us that we could not use the kitchen after check out. We then asked of we could shower, and they said no. We even offered to pay a little to shower, but they said that we had to pay half of a nights stay each to shower, which we found was too unreasonable. Also, the kitchen was small and underequiped and there was no fridge.
Look out for the cat with crazy eyes, its really something.

Only stayed one night and we didnt use the kitchen. Breakfast was okay. No lock on the front door, people can easily walk in and out. When we askes about luggage storage the owner, who was really nice, just put them in the corridor where everyone were walking around
The staff are lovely. Lola the cat is very cute. Kitchen is VERY small, but there is plenty of restaurants near.
Good location close to the main square. Staff were lovely and very helpful.
