I've stayed here twice, this time for a week. It's a very efficient though not at all homely hostel. Location in Huertas is great. The staff are generally friendly and helpful. key system and lockers are great. Bathrooms good. Beds comfy enough. Some of the internal rooms don't air out very easily. The rooms at the front on the first floor, 101-104, have balconies and wifi coverage. To wash and dry a huge load of laundry costs 7€. Pricing and room allocation can be inconsistent.

We had a great stay at this hostel. We did the free tour guide with Pablo and it was amazing! The hostel is very well located between Sol and the Prado. We did everything by foot, no metro for us, worked out great. It was great to get in touch with people from other countries and I loved the pub crawl and the drinking game (free!) organised by the hostel. I'd certainly recommend this hostel and will certainly go back on my next visit to Madrid!

I was not impressed with this hostel. I found the staff unfriendly and impatient, and as well the overall level of cleanliness in the kitchen and bathrooms was low. As well there was not really any lounge area for people to hang out and be comfortable. There is a room next to the kitchen with tables and chairs, but there isn't really any space to hang out and relax and feel comfortable in for long periods of time. I only stayed on night and left as soon as I got up the next morning

I just loved this hostel! Location is perfect .Rooms and beds are big with lots of space to the upper bed/ceiling; my room was right above the entrance, yet really quiet,100% secure and being cleaned every day and the air-conditioner kept me warm all the time! The staff was awesome and extremely helpful and polite, with perfect English! Only flaws were the shower that stops every 15 sec - really frustrating! (but with warm water) and the plastic tableware - keep at least the knives normal guys:)

It was central to the city and the Prado Museum which was cool. There was a common area downstairs with a kitchen, computers, tables and music videos which was a good place to meet new people.

It was located in a great place, near city center and major roads and attractions. The free walking tour was excellent and informative. Just change the colors on the walls to make the hostel more appealing in the common areas. The staff was very nice. I wasn't used to the communal baths with semi transparent shower doors though. I got used to it after a few nights.

I liked this hostel quite a lot. The location was great if you want to party, since there's a handful of bars and pubs in the area. Plus, major touristic atractions are only two Metro stops away or even within walking distance. Breakfast was simple, but it's what you would expect from a hostel. You're free to use the fridge, locks are available for free and the staff was helpful. The guests at the time were also friendly, so that helped make my stay there even better. Definitely recommended.

The hostel was well located but pretty noisy and the stuff didn t do anything about drunk people vomiting in the ascensor...The water was not hot in the baths.

When i went there, there were no many people so i got to use 8 people bed room with just one another person. So I stayed peacefully and well while i was there. I liked the balcony where you see the street and the people. Breakfast was average. I would stay here again when it is not a busy season.

Siempre es agradable hospedarse en ese hostal pues tienen un muy buen servicio en todos los aspectos y además resulta económico, esto hace que sea la primera alternativa a la hora de buscar hospedaje en Madrid.

I really enjoyed this hosta. it was one of the best I have stayed at. Erica's tour was very nice and took us around all the major sites of madrid, i would recommend going. DAVID's pub crawl was epic. He got us like 6 free shots extra had a very forgotten night ;) But unless you are in Madrid on thurs-sat then you won't go to any discotecas. This kinda sucks. But overall amazing stay at the hostel. We are definitely going back

The locks to get into the rooms are really weird! They look like a wristwatch, it kinda reminded me of a jail bracelet. It takes a while to get the hang of using them, the lockers too. Breakfast is served on paper plates and with plastic cutlery. Wifi is ok but its only down near reception. There were some creepy people lurking around outside after dark asking for money. But its reasonably clean and the elderly gentleman on reception late at night was really sweet.

The Hostel is quite nice, staff is really helpful ( you need their help considering the keysystem) and the breakfast is good, the kitchen is alright but if you want to cook you have to consider that there are only a couple of proper knives otherwise it is all made of plastic (plates, fork, spoon,...). But I didn´t like showering with cold water in wintertime (31.12-6.1), I even tried different times of day, water was always chilly.

The staff wasn't good, they're just ask the minimun necessary. The day when i've arrived i waited 20 min for they opened the door because the staff used to didnt stay at the reception. The bathroom was dirty everyday, the cleaness happened just in the morning. Poor breakfast. They have just one good thing, security lokers and doors.

This is a great place to stay in Madrid, It was my second time in this hostel, and I will get back for sure in future. It's in a place important for visiting everything, close to Puerta del Sol, Plaza Mayor, Atocha station and and the museums Prado/Thyssen/Reina Sofia and Caixa forum. The hostel offers a good breakfast, and you have lockers in your rooms for free, rooms and restrooms/showers are clean. The staff is friendly and helps you for everything you need. I recommend this one to anyone
