Really nice place to relax after some excursion in the amboro Park. The food is sweet and not expensive, the service really nice!
Very pleasant place to stay; actually one of the most pleasant places we stayed at during our trip in South America, and by far NOT the most expensive :-) The most healthy breakfast for a nice price. Staff was very helpfull. Nice garden to hang out in. Thanks also to taxidriver Freddy to help us pass a blockade on the road and get to the airport in time! If there is one point for improvement is would be to offer perhaps some more vegetarian options in your restaurant.

Lovely hotel very close to the main square. Great price for a hotel stay, yummy food and cocktails (with regular happy hours) and they helped us to go on a tour to the Andes elbow. Would definitely recommend, only negative is that nobody spoke English
Excellent place to stay!!! The place is beautiful with a fantastic restaurant on the grounds. The staff was very friendly and helpful and went out of there way to make sure that I had everything that I needed. The rooms were spotless (with hot showers) and cleaned daily. Amazing view of the mountains from the grounds. Would definitely stay again!!! Highly recommend!!!!
This posada would be one of the best in South America for value cleanliness and staff friendliness. The restaurant attached has amazing food the best in Bolivia so far.
The location and the surroundings were beautiful. The room was large and clean. However the hot water was temperamental and the wi fi was extremely poor. They also advertised english speaking employees but no one there spoke english. We asked to speak to the owner twice regarding our hot water issue as we were told he speaks english but he never materialised!!! The food was good but you always had to order 3 dishes even if you only wanted one!! They would be better to price individually.

Really enjoyed our stay here. Staff were lovely and got good advice re tours in the area.
Great restaurant and extra breakfast options. Lovely garden. Very clean and friendly staff.
Positive: Very good restaurant. Negative: Basic breakfast, 'virgin' cocktails and the staff doesn't speak English. But overall perfect hostel!
Incredibly sweet couple that runs the place. The continental breakfast included was better than normally and if you pay extra you get the most amazing breakfast in whole South America. They have everything from american pancakes to youghurt and fruit. The garden is beautiful and you can spend many hours here. No common-rooms or kitchen though, I guess this is more of a hotel than a hostel. One of my best stays in whole South America.
They say they have English speaking staff.there wasnt 1 English speaking staff member. They say they help book tours. There was no help. They say they cook omelettes anytime of the day for u.they had a menu with these and other cheap options stating from7:30am-9:30pm. We were stoked with this until we went to order lunch and they said it was only available for breaky!i had to order off the expensive menu of which most items were 'sold out'. And no DVDs, that's another lie. Wifi doesn't work.
This is an excellent place to stay in Samaipata. It's in a beautiful location only 5minutes walk from town. The rooms are lovely, the staff are very helpful and the food is excellent.
We thought the room was amazing for the price. We had a double with an amazing view for the same price we would normally get a dorm. The garden was beautiful too.
It's quite an expensive hostel for what you get. The American owner isn't very friendly (also to his staff). The breakfast was super minimal, you have to pay extra for almost anything. By far not the best breakfast we had in Bolivia, especially considering the price of the hostel.
Best place to stay in Samaipata - the innkeepers are wonderful and food even better!
Free refill in the morning would be nice, specially because the hostel is owned by someone from the states....refilllllll ;-)
Great B&B style place up on a hill with awesome views. Service is amazing, the food offered is delicious and affordable. The owners are both very nice and down to earth. Wifi is slow but I expected that given Samaipata's remote location. It helps you disconnect and relax better imho. Thanks guys for a great stay!
This is absolutely the best place I stayed during my 2 month stay in Bolivia. Nothing was too much to ask the wonderful owners of this gorgeous little boutique type hotel set in glorious gardens and with stunning views of the nearby mountains on the outskirts of Samaipata. The staff were very friendly and the food in the restaurant excellent and very reasonably priced. I cannot praise this little gem enough and if you are looking for good food, excellent value and a relaxing break this is
We spent 5 nights at La Posada Del Sol, and it was the best service we have had during our 3 month trip of South America. The owners and staff were really helpful and friendly and we were always greeted with smiles. The hotel is really well laid out with most of the rooms in the private back garden with a view of the surrounding mountains. The restaurant attached to the hotel was also very good value for money with great meals.
Great clean rooms nice garden to sit in and a much more relaxed atmosphere on the days the american owner was not present once he arrived the staff seemed to be on high alert & sitting in the chairs outside they were constantly sent to ask you if you wanted a drink, as it was also a restaurant which had great food and was great value but some times you want to just be able to sit & talk to fellow travellers without being pressured. The staff understood this the owner needs to learn it.
