They say they have English speaking staff.there wasnt 1 English speaking staff member. They say they help book tours. There was no help. They say they cook omelettes anytime of the day for u.they had a menu with these and other cheap options stating from7:30am-9:30pm. We were stoked with this until we went to order lunch and they said it was only available for breaky!i had to order off the expensive menu of which most items were 'sold out'. And no DVDs, that's another lie. Wifi doesn't work.

This is an excellent place to stay in Samaipata. It's in a beautiful location only 5minutes walk from town. The rooms are lovely, the staff are very helpful and the food is excellent.

We thought the room was amazing for the price. We had a double with an amazing view for the same price we would normally get a dorm. The garden was beautiful too.

It's quite an expensive hostel for what you get. The American owner isn't very friendly (also to his staff). The breakfast was super minimal, you have to pay extra for almost anything. By far not the best breakfast we had in Bolivia, especially considering the price of the hostel.

We have the lowest staff turnover in Samaipata. Our employees have been with us for years and are always smiling and friendly. This certainly does not come from poor treatment. If 75 Bs a person is expensive for you, you probably were at the wrong hotel. Our breakfast formula, the continental is designed to keep your cost low. You could have payed a bit extra and had a great meal. I was sick with a virus the days you were here. Sorry, but it was hard to appear friendly. I really tried!

Free refill in the morning would be nice, specially because the hostel is owned by someone from the states....refilllllll ;-)

Thanks so much for the 5 star rating! (We serve export quality "real" coffee made in a French press as opposed to the free refill of Nescafe you receive throughout Bolivia. All the good stuff gets shipped to "the states" and other countries at a greatly reduced price. We want to keep our hotel prices low as well!)

Great B&B style place up on a hill with awesome views. Service is amazing, the food offered is delicious and affordable. The owners are both very nice and down to earth. Wifi is slow but I expected that given Samaipata's remote location. It helps you disconnect and relax better imho. Thanks guys for a great stay!

This is absolutely the best place I stayed during my 2 month stay in Bolivia. Nothing was too much to ask the wonderful owners of this gorgeous little boutique type hotel set in glorious gardens and with stunning views of the nearby mountains on the outskirts of Samaipata. The staff were very friendly and the food in the restaurant excellent and very reasonably priced. I cannot praise this little gem enough and if you are looking for good food, excellent value and a relaxing break this is

We spent 5 nights at La Posada Del Sol, and it was the best service we have had during our 3 month trip of South America. The owners and staff were really helpful and friendly and we were always greeted with smiles. The hotel is really well laid out with most of the rooms in the private back garden with a view of the surrounding mountains. The restaurant attached to the hotel was also very good value for money with great meals.

Amazing place in the most beautiful setting. Their restaurant is probably the best value in town (a few more vegetarian options would be welcome though), happy hour is fantastic to meet other guests (and the cocktails are very good too), and the staff will make you feel like at home. You won't want to leave.

The room we stayed at during the first two nights of our stay was very nice: it included a bathroom, drinking water and a bed-net, and faced a lovely inner courtyard. For the next two nights we were moved to a different room, which was considerably smaller, louder (it was next to the kitchen), and did not have a bathroom. We really enjoyed the food at the adjoined restaurant, esp. the Luna Verde salad. It was also a real pleasure to meet the friendly and helpful owners of the hostel.

Just to clarify, you booked in through WRI for only 2 nights, then extended your stay after arrival. Unfortunately we did not have the same room available and so moved you to a room with SHARED bath. We are a boutique hotel with 10 rooms and very popular and can fill up quickly. The second room you were in was down the hall from the kitchen in the main house and is not a good one for late sleeping as hotel activity begins early for tours and breakfast. Thanks for the excellent review!

Probably the best hostel i have stayed in. The staff are so friendly and nothing is too much trouble. Excellent food and location. The owner has thought of everything. No cards accepted though so you will need to take cash as there is also no ATM in Samaipata.

It was like a home away from home , I especially liked the staff , they were so friendly . Having a restaurant attached was also a big plus for a single woman who did not want to be walking around at night . The laundry service was good , great rooms , very comfortable beds . I returned twice after tours .
