The family that owned the place were wonderful and helped us with everything including tours and holding our stuff when we were gone and then allowing us to shower when we came back. great hostel

Booked a Double Bed Private Ensuite for 70bobs each however when checking out the lady disputed this and tried to charge us more. room was good, had a tv and bathroom was ok, no cleaning and we stayed a few days. no interaction from staff to talk to you about tours except when they asked who we booked our salar trip with then they got a bit offended. hotel mitre over the road was cheaper for a private room, fab breakfast and pool, we stayed here after a trip.

We stayed in a bright, spacious double rm with private bathroom, and good hot shower. The hostel is in a good location, easy walk from the bus station & into town. Nice roof terrace, cable tv in the room and a good breakfast. The owners are friendly and we booked a good horse riding tour with their agency.

Nice, clean and excellent value for money. I would recommend this hostel above all else because the tours that it runs to the salt flats are excellent. I would definitely recommend la Torre tours. Also we did a horse ride to the mountains which was also good.

clean room, good breakfast buffet, helpful staff. cable tv in private rooms. no internet (internet cafes all over town though). we were in a room on the second floor initially which had a window and appeared recently renovated. we got moved to a back room on the first floor which still had an ensuite bathroom and tv but there were no windows/air flow there. hot water was stronger upstairs than downstairs.

The owners here are great and run excellent tours. Their also full of information (especially medical stuff, former doctors/nurses).

Directly in the center of Tupiza. Staff is really nice - they even cooked tea for us. Nice terrace on the roof to chill. Our room was spacious and clean. They offer 4-day tours to the Salar the Uyuni that can be recommended.

Really nice place to stay and it was great to be greeted by friendly English speaking staff. The room was great except our toilet leaked and my passport got wet as a result. We booked our trip with la torre and it was fantastic, would recommend booking with the hotel. Visitors should be aware that there are no cash machines in tupiza so bring Bolivian currency or lots of Argentinian to change when you are there

Not really a hostel, its a hotel. Rooms are big, with good, big beds, but a distinct lack of decent curtains. Staff are friendly and helpful, and we did the 4-day Salt Flat Tour with La Torre tours, and had a very good experience as far as vehicle, driver and cook goes (can't be said for other tours we witnessed). Bathrooms were good and clean, but drains smelled bad sometimes. Nobody stays in Tupiza for long, so its great for 1 or 2 nights and has cable TV in every room I think.

Good tours to the Salt desert. However, if you want to climb a vulcano. Dont trust the women in the reception that says it is easy!!! Its hard work. Dont forget warm clothes aswell. The desert is freezing at night!!!

Very unfriendly. When you arrive you recognize that it is not a hostel. It is a hotel. Not recommended if you’re traveling alone or want to know other people. It is nice though, at least before you know the rooms. Then it depends. I knew 3: 215, can't imagine the bathroom smell, something is rotten there. 206 is terrible, and 209 is fine. So good luck. The woman in charge is not very nice, not very in the service mood. Checkout time is at 11AM and they are not flexible on this.

Good location with tour company downstairs for Salt Flat tours. Breakfast had a little extra than the typical Bolivian breakfast of bread and jam - we got a banana and yogurt too. Rooms at the front of the building don't have curtains so you get woken up early by the sunlight. Bathroom drains smelt a lot, so had to remember to keep the door shut.

Good hostel in the centre of Tupiza. Very clean rooms. Breakfast is nothing special, but better than average hostel. Recommended hotel to spend some nights in Tupiza

This place was very comfortable, in fact one of the most comfortable beds I've had in South America. Rooms were clean, and the breakfast was awesome! We also booked our tour to the Uyuni Salar from the hotels tour company, and was awesome! Highly recommended, but definitely shop around for prices, bargaining will help!

The Hostel was good. The best part of the place were the staff and especially Eddie the owner. He was hands down the nicest and most pleasant person we have met in south america. Nothing was ever an issue for him and he seemed to be very busy. He is also a doctor so checked and prescribed my girldfriend medication for a ear infection with compliments of the hostel. Great guy. The room was OK but the one we were in could do with updating, especially the bathroom.

A decent place to stay for a night or two, but it´s not a hostel, and not much fun in itself. The hotel also runs tours that have a good reputation.
