Great stay at Tortuga. Alfredo is a great manager. Very nice/chill vibes. Not high end facilities, but that's the whole town of Taganga. It was a great place to relax, hammocks on the rooftop bar have an amazing view. Lots of roosters and dogs around which make quite a ruckus. Pool was a nice way to beat the heat. Make sure to find the turtle in the backyard
Nice place with a rooftop bar that would be great if it was a bit busier. Quite a walk from town (realitivly as taganga is tiny) so best to get a taxi back at night as streets can be sketchy.
Beautiful hostel with a great pool, friendly staff, very quiet, there is an amzing bar an it was empty every night! Not the hostels fault, it was a great place to stay, and they look after you bags if you go to tayrona, even if youve checked out :)
One of the best hostels I have ever stayed in! Staff are super friendly. Alfredo and Diego at Tortuga especially made me feel so welcomed and at home. This is a super chill place, with a great kitchen, pool, rooftop bar with a perfect sunset view and beautiful garden with hammocks to relax. The location is perfect, a good 5 minutes walk to the main street and close to several grocery stores. Can't wait to come back! Miss you already, Afredo and the two lovely turtles! - Adelina
I did not mind La Tortuga but my friend hated it and literally left one minute after she checked in and went somewhere else. There are no lockers for you bags. There are tiny lockers at the front for valubles but there are not enough for the people in the hostel so no where to put you passport and phone..which are things you do not want to carry around taganga! Quite a rubbled scary street at night The staff are nice enough. There is a cool reggae bar on the roof which played very good music.
Great terrace with AMAZING view (incredible sunsets). Big kitchen with everything needed to cook. Cheap bar (with cool rastafary bar tender). Staff are really nice and give great information (specially receptionist called DIEGO,he's awsame). Rooms are very neat, and bathrooms too. Really had a grat experience at Tortuga, it is a must. I tootally recomend it. BTW: There is a real tourtle hanging arround the hostel hahaha.
This hostel has everything a backpacker needs - good wifi, kitchen facilities, pool, hammocks, lounge area, bar. The rooms are cleaned daily. Views from the hostel of the sunset are gorgeous. The only downside is that it's located quite far from the center of town and we were told it's a bit dangerous walking home late at night if you go out, make sure you walk home in a group. Also the rooftop bar plays music untill midnight so if you are a light sleeper then it can be tricky to sleep early.
Great hostel! Hammocks everywhere, rooftop bar, pool, and friendly staff. Good hostel for partying or relaxing depending on what you want. The safes are small so you can only lock up your valuables. I was in Taganga for diving so I didn't spend very much time in the hostel during the day but definitely enjoyed my stay. Recommend.
is the best hostel where i'm stayed in my travel for sudamerica.....the pool is great, the rooftop with the bar and the amazing view of taganga is so paicefull....the staff is so nice, the turtles in the backyard so cute, a great kitchen. the room are really clean with his private bathroom. i really loved tortuga and the next time that i comeback to taganga....tortuga is mi hostel.
