La Tosca was by far the best experience I have had at a hostel to date. The staff is super friendly and very attentive. The rooms and bathroom were flawlessly clean and the patio area was very peaceful. The breakfast was delicious, not just bread. Everyone was very knowledgable about where to find things in the city and they were always eager to help. When I first arrived I was shown pictures and video of all the amazing things to do in Puerto Madryn. Thanks for making it such a memorable stay!

Nice hostel, rooms average, reminded me of a young offenders institute. However they were clean. There were two kitchens and we had a shared bathroom with only the next door room- that was good as we never had to wait. The staff were really friendly and very helpful with recommendations of tours and what to do in the area. Was good that the breakfast was homemade however it was a bit sweet, could of done with some bread

Nothing to fault this place. Staff were amazing, so friendly and took pride in their hostel and jobs. The breakfast was homemade and delicious. Little touches like bedside shelves and hot water in the clothes washing sink made the difference. Located near a supermarket and not far from the bus station or sea. They made everyone fried doughnuts when it was raining. Both kitchens are equipped and spacious. Really, really great hostel.

The staff here are amazing! Eduardo gave such a friendly welcome along with the night and morning guys this was a great, friendly place to stay! Breakfast is served to you which is a nice change. It is on the sweet side but all homemade. Good wi-Fi. Only thing I would suggest is to try and improve the hot water pressure.

Owner Comment (Show)
Hy, thanks a lot for your words, are very important to improve and complete our proposal. We could find a bubble inside the water system in your room (n8) and we already fix it. By the way, when we were checking we founded another problem and we needed to change the heater. Is already done, we bought a new one and now all the guests can enjoy the amazing hot shower that you can find inside of all the bathrooms in our hostel. Thanks a lot again, Take Care and have an incredible trip!

A really pleasant and extremely clean hostel! The facilities are good, with ample kitchen utensils and large lockers under the beds. The staff have good knowledge on the Penguin, Whale & Seal watching tours and there are two kitchens to use too which is a bonus at meal times. One downside about this place is there's no chill out area - the reception area just feels too much like a cafe - that aside, this is a really good place to stay.

One of the best hostels I've stayed at. It's laid out beautifully around a grassy courtyard, and has a nice, large common area, plus two kitchens (with gas stove, hurrah!) Really good coffee in the mornings. The best thing about La Tosca, though, is the staff. Rodrigo was incredibly helpful and accommodating. He set up our excursions and also helped us rent a car. Plus, we messed up our reservation, but he refunded us, even though it was entirely our fault. Highly recommended!

I loved staying at La Tosca hostel, because I felt like home.. the atmosphere in the common room was always nice and cozy and at the same time was the staff always really helpful and cool.. they even offered me some homemade, delicious 'Flan', dessert, one evening.. plus, whenever I was in doubt about some details regarding the tours, they were always there to give advice and good guidance;)

The staff was super nice suggesting us what to do, the room was nice and clean and the kitchen well furnished. The breakfast with home-made cake was definitely a plus.

This is a little gem of a hostel, nestled 4 blocks from the sea. The owner is fantastic and was incredibly helpful. By the first morning all the staff had memorised our names and greeted us with a handshake every morning when they served us breakfast. The rooms were really comfy, safe and clean. The information about tours was really helpful. The well stocked kitchen made cooking a pleasure as the supermarket is one block away.

The Hostel as well as the staff were great & helpful - gave a very good introduction in all the possibilities in Puerto Madryn w/out any pressure to buy a tour etc.!! The Location was good, not too far away from the beach and the main Plaza of the city and in walkable distance to the Bus Terminal (even with heavy backpack!). Puerto Madryn is a liveley and secure little town, really enjoyed my stay at the Hostel!
