Most difficult part of my stay here was finding the hostel. It is located on small, unmarked streets, tucked above a bakery. No signage outside, so we drove by it four or five times. Second problem, was the location above a large, working bakery. Very noisy at night, and we had a hard time sleeping. Final problem was the wi-fi was down. Room was good. Facilities were clean and tidy. But considering the negatives, this hostel was a bit overpriced, and we probably would not stay there again.
Had to ring owners to let us in as no onsite staff. Once owner (or their representative) turned up she spoke little English, however everything was good from thereon. Room was clean and quiet, Kichen was large and well equipped,Location is close to bus stop and old town. Manager? ( she kept ringing someone everytime was asked for something) was very accomodating and friendly. Be warned bit hard to find in the dark and has no identification other than name next to buzzer but worth the effort.
The room we had was very clean and large. Everything was very good, unless that the shared bathroom has not been cleaned the last two days.
the location was handy to all public transport, but no detailed instructions for walking from central bus/train station were given. the place is not on the main road opposite the port but in a narrow street running parallel to the port road. A map given from bus station assisted us with location. room huge and airy. share bathroom good and clean tho toilet paper scarce. use of kitchen good, and a fridge available. despar very close for groceries. didn't see owner once given room key and paid.
