the price and location were excellent, recently stayed in a 5* in Brussels with a less comfy bed than here. small rooms, very basic, but great price. (steep stairs with no elevator)

The hotel breakfast is served in the room, but not always at the requested time and often very late. On the third day I had asked for breakfast at 7.45. At 8:30 I went down into the reception but it was closed as a result I left without eating.

Great location, 2 min to GrandPlace, less than 10 to Brussels central Station. Breakfast delivered to your room at your chosen time was a nice touch. Only minor issue would be the smell of cigarette smoke in our room during the day that was coming from either the staff or another guest. Didn't bother us later in evening, but may to those more sensitive. Overall great value, and wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.

All the staff are very friendly, accommodating, and helpful specially Alfred who speaks many languages fluently. I just wish the hostel can offer more variety in breakfast.

The location is perfect, very close to the Central Station and all the main attractions, and the other aspects are also good considering the price.

Cosy! Nice staff - and admirable, considering their carrying breakfast trays etc up and down those tiny stairs:) I especially enjoyed having breakfast in bed. The coffee was good, croissants fresh.

The location is just a block or two away from the Grand Palace and right across the street from one of Brussels most popular statues! The room was clean and had a full bathroom with a private shower. I would recommend La Vieille Lanterne to anyone traveling to Brussels!

Very cute 6 room hotel. It is very tight on the first level as there is the gift shop and tiny office where you check in. It is also a very small windy steep staircase to get up to the rooms. The room was very nice, small, but perfect. The windows looked right out onto the street. The bathroom was very nice. Breakfast in the room was very nice. And the staff was so sweet!

The best thing about it was the location, next to the manneken-piss and easy to find, breakfast was plenty and delicious, and quiet at night when rest is needed, i definitely recommend this, specially if you're also looking for a place where you can talk to them in spanish

Good location, can view famous Manneken Pis just from the room window. The hostel is very clean and safe to stay. One thing must highlight that breakfast is served in the room.

When finding this hotel all we had to do was find the most famous statue in all of Brussels, the Manneken Pis, because it was so close that the statue was the view from our window. That made finding the hotel very simple and also meant that it was within walking distance of everything you want to see with only a day in the city. They bring a delicious breakfast up to your room at the time you request upon check-in making the mornings simple and relaxing.
