This was a great hostel. It was very cozy, house-like atmosphere and easy to chat with people. This was the first hostel I stayed at where they cooked breakfast for you and didn't have to pay (included in the price). The staff would hang out and chat with their guests regularly and were very helpful. The only thing is that it's a little far from the city centre, about a 35-40 minute walk. Will stay here again and tell all my friends to as well.

This hostel had the best social atmosphere of anywhere I stayed in Ireland. It's impossible not to make friends here. I will admit there were some organizational errors made by staff while I was there in terms of room allocations , but all in all the fun I had staying here outweighed those things. Also you get a full English breakfast for free!! Can't beat that

I was iffy about this place when I first got there. Seemed a little boring and the interior was a little tired and lifeless. However towards the weekend it picks up and there's usually someone up for a pint. You rely on guest motivation for a night out to happen in this kind of place, hostel isn't going to run a crawl or get games going, but they're not against it at all. Kitchen has a stove tops and ovens, lacks a few pots/pans. NOT a YOUTH dedicated hostel. Cozy but. Chad is a legend.

Great place, nice breakfast and weird funny hosts. Some problems with the hot water on the third floor.

I had a very nice stay at Lagan Backpackers. The staff was extremly friendly and helpful. The included cooked breakfast and the dinner for just £2,50 were always delicious :)

We really enjoyed our stay at Lagans. The breakfast was great and it was very easy to meet people and make friends in a great social vibe. Only complaints were the giants causeway tour was pretty talked up and over rated (an extra 5 euro to cross a rope bridge and a stop at a distillery with no tour but access to only the gift shop?!) but this was not the fault of the hostel, just a warning to other travellers. The causeway is great, just take the local bus.

Everything was fine, the kitchen is too small and you get asked to leave between 7

Great atmosphere between the staff and the other guests. Some were noisy at night though. Plenty of toilet facilities and great WiFi. Close to convenience stores / supermarkets.

Wouldn't not stay there again. Bathrooms were dirty, rooms overcrowded with having only 2 energy outlets for 12 people (?!). The door of out room couldn't be locked (or even closed properly), just few small lockers available. Breakfast is included in the price and you can choose between few "menus" and someone will make it for you (but if you wanna change it you need to pay 2 pounds).

Really nice place, amazing people and great atmosphere! Will come back if in Belfast again.

it's very clean and tidy hostel, the staff is so cooperative

We enjoyed our stay at Lagan. The location was good, the Australian guy on the desk was very helpful and organised our Black Cab tour and went out of his way to recruit another backpacker which meant our tour fee would be reduced. Free cooked breakfast was a welcomed change to the usual continental breakfast. We stayed in the double bed private for 1 night and 5 bed mixed dorm the 2nd night, Both were good and adequate size.

Awesome staff! Whether they are cooking you the best hostel breakfast you will ever have and it's FREE (hot and tasty with options of eggs, bacon, sausage and much more), hanging out in the common room, at reception or making an amazing dinner for only £2.50 they will be smiling, friendly and willing to answer questions and give recommendations. Rooms and bathrooms are good to and location is in a cool area. Also, do the giants causeway day trip as it is great!

Love this place and the staff are the best thing about it. Everyone was totally chill and easy going. Just a fantastic family environment. Cheers guys

Loved this hostel. The breakfasts were amazing. Everyone was really friendly and inclusive. The cute hostel dinners were great value for money and a nice way to meet people. The staff welcome you in to the hostel like a family - brilliant place.

Not a bad hostel but I've stayed in way better for the same price. Its in a good location near some great bars, within walking distance of everything, the showers are good with hot water and some of the staff are really friendly and helpful. BUT the breakfast is disappointing, the facilities are in need of a refurb/ deep clean and the no non guests upstairs rule is not enforced, which was not pleasant in a dorm room. Say no more!!

The staff are spectacular! Had such a lovely stay here. It was cosy and homely, the beds were comfy and the showers were hot. A free cooked breakfast! A lounge room with a tv! The only thing that was problematic was that it was cold at times. The business owner doesn't want to pay for heat. It's ridiculous in winter. At first I thought this hostel would be 'out of the way' but location was great and well. A big shout out to Linda, Max and Chad :D I definitely recommend this hostel.

Hi There are at least 4 plugs in each room. Asking the staff might have helped
