Well located close to everything (Pubs, Clubs, Restaurant, Museum) The breakfast was good, the room and bathroom could have been cleaner. Service was awsome and the poeple were very nice and helpfull.   Read Owner Comments

Nice, small hostel, but one has to be quite flexible: Sometimes the reception is not staffed and breakfast is not on time (a little annoying, when you have a day trip ahead of you and have to be on time). For the rest, very nice stay :) Especially a lot of help and information about sights, pubs, restaurants etc.   Read Owner Comments

Superb, well informed and friendly hostel manager and staff. Very friendly and relaxed atmosphere. Will definitely return in the future, to see Belfast properly. Thank you Lagan Backpackers. See you sometime next year. Joe.

Make the hostel your 1st stop when you arrive. Forget the Tourist Office, the guy who runs this place knows Belfast like the back of his hand and will tell you the best (and cheapest) way to see the city. Could not have been more friendly with the best equipped kitchen I've seen in years. You're in the student area so expect a bit of noise up to midnight. Whatever you do, dont miss out on the cooked breakfast. Its brilliant and included in the price.

Nice clean safe place, with great staff and free cooked brekky, all at a bargain price. Would definitely stay here again. Owner takes folk out to the pub for live music, and mix of single rooms and dorms makes this place suitable for social types and those wanting a quieter more private time. Is in a student area, but has a lively vibe with lots of shops and restaurants nearby.

There were 8 of us staying for2 nights in Lagans this Oct and we had an absolute blast. The staff were most helpful, Chris welcomed us upon our arrival,he explained the basics, and everything else we inquired. They arranged black taxy tours for the 8 of us,no problems there, and trip to Giant's Causeway. The other night William invited us to BBQ to celebrate b-days of another guest and one of Williams friends. There were two scottish couples playing trad irish music. The hostel is grand

I have never bothered filling out the review before but.....this hostel is brilliant, the owner goes out of his way to make sure your stay is excellent. In the nicest part of the city, in an old redbrick street with lots of character. Good advice on what to do, during the day and night in Belfast. Hot/cold breakfast provided. He even threw a birthday barbeque for a girl staying there with a trad band!

Highly recommended hostel, especially for solo travellers. William is extremely friendly and helpful and cooks you the most amazing breakfast each morning! He even put on a free barbeque for guest\'s birthday. Free internet, lockers, fully equipped kitchen, cosy tv room, clean and warm rooms, and no bunks! Definately felt more like a home than a hostel. The hostel is located in the university area which means cheap food and lovely cafes; short stroll into the city centre. Loved it!!
