Javier and the team really make this place and are very accomodating to all your questions /needs! We met friendly travellers (social environment) and the place is cleaned regularly. Breakfast good including eggs! Lastly not an essential but great movie selection. I would recommend to stay here!

We really liked staying at Hostel Lagares. The staff was the most awesome ever, such helpful and cute persons! Actually the only thing we missed was more water pressure in the shower, and that's not very essential...

Staying in this hostel was very enjoyable. The staff were very friendly and we booked some trips through them which were very enjoyable at a reasonable price. The beds were very comfy, would recommend when visiting Mendoza...

Definitely one of the best hostels I've stayed in thanks to the kindness and helpfulness of the staff. Javier made me feel very welcome and at home as soon as I stepped in the door. The movie collection is another massive draw for whenever you have a spare couple of hours! 10/10

Loved our stay at Lagares. From the moment we made our booking Javier and the rest of the staff were very helpful. Emailed us a list of activities before we arrived and had loads of info for us when we got there. Place is really clean, dorms cleaned every day and huge lockers so the rooms don't get cluttered. All in all it was a great stay but it really was the exceptional staff that made our stay so enjoyable. Gracias Javier!

The staff with Javier in th lead is the main reason for coming here, they make you feel at home. Breakfast is good with eggs, but could use some fruit and th beds need some oil. L

A small, friendly hostel with a relaxed atmosphere. The owners are really friendly and happy to help with any query. We booked 2 outings through them - both excellent value for money. 10 min walk from the main plaza and 5 mins from a high street with shops, cafés and pharmacies. Really clean hostel with a good number of bathroom facilities. Decent wifi throughout. Definitely one of the best hostels we have stayed at during our trip!

The hostel has a great location. Really close to the center and a 10 minute walk from a supermarket. Really clean bathrooms and bedrooms and a delicious breakfast with homemade breads and jams! Javier, the owner, is a really kind friendly man. He instantly made us feel welcome and helped us out a lot during our stay. I would definitely recommend staying here, plus he can arrange any tour in Mendoza for you including bungee jumping and sky diving! Amazing place :)

Wow, the staff of this hostel is just so incredibly helpful! The owner almost instantly knows the names of all the guests and will happily great everybody he comes across with. There's a crazy selection of movies for after a day of biking and winetasting and a pretty nice breakfast. Only note is that I heard other hostels offered free wine, since it is mendoza and wine is what you are coming for, and that the common area outside was not that cozy.

Showers don't stay the same temperature. Kitchen was good and rooms were clean. Great DVD collection. Would've enjoyed some fruit at breakfast. Otherwise fab hostel! Thank you

We have enjoyed every minute at the hostel. The rooms and public areas are very clean. The breakfast with homemade bread and marmelate is fantastic! But the most of all we enjoyed the hospitality of Javier and the other staff members! Truely exceptional!!

really nice hostel that help to organise tours for you or offer advice if you prefer something more independent. great breakfast including eggs and cake. A more comfortable place to sit in the common area would be great.

Javier (the owner) is the friendliest, nicest, most helpful hostel owner I have met in South America. Nice place. Great staff. Clean. If you're going to Mendoza, stay here!
