Very clean, very quiet, very nice. some people complained this hostel is boring, but we liked it! If you want to sleep, look no further. The airco is a big plus as well. Staff was helpfull.

The staff were really friendly and helpful, even learning our names! We had a good day in the vineyard and the kitchen was well stocked. Breakfast was pretty good and the rooms and bathrooms were clean. Internet was fast and they have a great selection of DVD's. The best thing was the two staff who were great.

If you arrive prior to check in durring breakfast hours you need to pay to eat. After you check out, there is an additional charge to use the Kitchen or to shower. The rooms were nice, with large secure lockers to put all of your belongings in. Located on a main road which was quite loud at night.

Brilliant hostel with friendly staff. It is located off the beaten track but Mendoza is so small that everything is within walking distance regardless. The breakfast provided was average but there was no shortage as has been found in some other hostels.

Stayed for two nights. Lovely staff in a great central location. If you want a place to lay your head it's ok- but you get what you pay for. Breakfast is poor.

Good hostel! The staff was very friendly and helpfull. We didn't had luck with our roommates, they were very selfish (turn on the light at 2.00 am, calling in the middle of the night out loud etc.) If you book 4 nights you get a free mountainbike for a day to go to the maipu wine area!

I found Largares Hostel in a Google search. I was searching for the top hostels in Mendoza and I came across this one. I stayed five days at Largares. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Clean, safe and cost-effective for travellers on a budget. I highly recommend Largares Hostel. Thank you for your hospitality.

small hostel with very friendly staff, not really the place to meet people if your traveling alone, mostly couples when I was there. AC (in the rooms and downstairs) is a plus.

All the staff were really friendly and helpful, very patient with my questions! We had the asado cooked by Javier and Damien on Thursday nights, which was amazing and great value at $50 pesos each. Even though they have some beers available at cheap prices, they let you bring your own in to drink as well (a lot of Argentinian hostels dont let you if they sell alcohol) Good location only 10 minutes walk from the bus station, but the opposite side of the city to the park. Great terrace to relax on

My stay here was fantastic which was mainly down to the very friendly owner - he is great. The rooms are clean, its small enough to get to know people quickly. It does have a couples vibe but dont let that put you off. Its in a good location that is slightly away from the centre which means quiet sleeps.

Hi Hostelworld-user! we spent 3 nights at Lagares Hostel from 20 th till 23 rd of December. Our purpose of visit was to experience and enjoy the nature around Mendoza as much as possible. .With one agency we had a couple of problems. The deal was the money not worht it. The staff from Lagares Hostel were amazing.. They helped us to get a part of our money back and cancelled their cooperation contract. We really do appreciate their help.

We had a great stay at Lagares Hostel :) The Positives - wonderful staff, Javier and Damien were very helpful! Loved our private room - nice and big with good security and privacy. The Negatives - I would have preferred to stay closer to the nicer part of town versus the downtown area now that I know Mendoza better. The bathroom had a very slow drain which made showering a not so fun experience and I'm sure it was our folly not to have mentioned it. Overall, it was good.

Cute little hostel with excellent decor. Very small with only 4 rooms in total. Great selection of DVDs. Far from the parties and the main square though. Definitely a quieter hostel, but the facilities are excellent and staff were helpful and friendly.
