Had a great time at Lagares and definitely recommend. Rooms and facilities were well kept and clean. The hostel was generally quiet. Breakfast was lovely and had home made jam, a definite highlight! :) The staff spoke good English, was very friendly and helpful with directions and recommendations. This hostel ticks all the right boxes!

Friendly and helpful staff, clean hostel and decent breakfast. The only negative really is that the rooms closest to the road were quite noisy.

Great hostel, very clean, helpful and friendly staff. Can also recommend the Full Day Wine and Bike Tour with Maipu Aventura (booked through the hostel).

We had a great stay here. The location is great, a short 10-minute walk from the microcentre, and the hostel was always clean and felt safe. We were given keys for very large lockers which was such a luxury! The kitchen is nicely equipped as well. Some staff was more helpful than others, but generally very nice and welcoming. It\'s a bit far from the party-street Villanueva, but that\'s a good thing if you prefer quiet and calm. I would stay here again!

I stayed in Lagares over Semana Santa, and it was a pretty good stay for what you pay. The staff was helpful in making reservations, but some of them weren't super friendly. The breakfast was decent.. bread, cereal, and good coffee. The hostel was very clean. The only thing that I really didn't like were the beds; They were very uncomfortable, and I could feel all of the springs in my back. Also, the hostel is located right on the street, and I was often awoken by the loud cars passing by.

This was one of the best hostels I have ever stayed at. The staff was absolutely wonderful- very friendly and always there to help plan an activity. Very clean facilities and they provide you a locker and lock. The hostel had a great vibe and a nice common area where I met lots of people from all over the world, which was great because I was traveling alone. You can buy wine at the hostel. A great DVD collection and TV for when youre bored. I would definitely stay here again.

Big lockers inside the rooms, shared bathrooms clean and with hot water all the time. Delicious homemade cake and jam for breakfast. Good atmosphere (however one day it was quite noisy due to some very drunk people coming back from tours - this is not the hostel's fault, though). Staff very friendly and talkative. Location not exactly in the centre by main square only about 10 mins away.

Had a pleasant stay at Lagares. The hostel was clean, the rooms good (big lockers a plus!). The staff were nice and helpful, and the breakfast better than at many other hostels! Location was ok, took about 10-15min to walk into the city centre - the area was safe enough (three girls), though at night a bit poorly lit. Only negative thing that there was only one computer for guests to use - but the wifi worked well. Stayed in room 3, bit noisy 'cause of the upstairs patio... :/

Excellent hostel. Friendly and helpful staff. Clean and comfortable rooms. A nice relaxing place to stay, and the best Asado I have had in Argentina.

The hostel is quite lovely. It's especially secure and the beds are always made. There are plenty of bathrooms and showers, as well as a lot of wonderful patio space. It's very neat and organized. I would recommend moving some of the furniture around in the living/tv room to make it more conducive to socializing. Are there games? And what about game nights...BBQ nights? Just considerations to enhance the liveliness and the character. Or perhaps I was just there during a quiet time.

Really lovely hostel only two blocks from the main high street. We stayed in a lovely clean twin room. The hostel were really helpful and offered a great range of excursions - we did the all the horse riding and spa day - good value for money. The hostel was secure as you were buzzed in. The place was clean and tidy and communal areas were nice. Breakfast included was good. The only aspect about the hostel that was missing was that it lacked a bit of atmosphere but we met some great people.

The hostel is average. The two-bed-room had the constant humidity and smell of a bathroom, but the dorm room was quite okay. The staff was helpful. Breakfast is improvable and the atmosphere is okay.

Lagares Hostel is an excellent hostel and probably the best value in the city. I spent 4 nights there total and the staff were extremely helpful and patient (and speak English well), the beds were good, the facilities clean. It's a 10 minute walk or so from the bar areas but other than that, it's the perfect hostel. If you are looking for a calm hostel environment to enjoy the TV or patio calmly, this fits perfectly.
