The hostel is close to Front Street and the harbour/beach. Also grocery stores & banks are close by - the location is excellent and despite the Highway not too noisy. They have a safe where one can lock valuables - but I never made use of it as I felt it was a perfectly safe place anyway. Staff is very welcoming and friendly - only they like to party and nighttime is not always kept, what makes it hard to sleep (bad for those who want to get up early in the morning to explore Maui. Great Hostel.

The location is excellent in relation to Lahaina, the rooms were clean and air-conditioned, the bathrooms were average but had warm water and locking doors. The kitchen was average but usable. The location is what really makes this hostel very good

The double bed in the private room was very uncomfortable and sunk in the middle. Overall hostels in any island in Hawaii are extremely overpriced by world standards and generally the bathrooms are filthy.

Beware of the aircondition. It was so cold I got sick. You only get a thin sheet, but can ask for a blanket which they should just provide from the beginning. The place was clean enough but needed some maintenance. Some nights it was a social place, others more quiet. You could meet other travellers here. Their tours were only some days and some of them got cancelled. You can use public transportation to get there from the airport but consider renting a car as there isn't much to do in Lahaina.
