Excellent location literally just 2 minutes from the bus stop. More expensive than other hostels across Italy, with poorer quality showers (small with just a curtain as opposed to better quality/more space in other hostels), lacks privacy due to limited space meaning some have to step out of shower. Staff friendly and join in with drinks of an evening with guests on the 'social table'. Disappointing that wifi isn't free, that should be a given as most places are. Very clean

One of the BEST places I have ever stayed while touring Italy. Lake Como is a jewel in itself with different villages and docks to choose from. Menaggio in my opinion is one of the best. You can hike and bike locally and if you are brave, venture on kayak into the Lake. The views are awesome. The hostel itself is simple and fun. The staff is great and goes out to help you in any circumstance. (I recommend having a dinner or two and enjoying an awesome room filled dinner with new friends.

Had a great stay in the hostel. Enjoyed very much to have dinner at the hostel. Always had good company. For me that is very important while travelling alone. Enjoyed very much hiking with Meredith. She did a great job. Hopefully I will be back soonly! Greetings to everybody, Helga from Germany

You have to pay for wifi but you can walk down the street 2 minutes to get free wifi at the only bar near.

Good: Dinner and wine are both good value. View from the common area is stunning. Staff are very friendly and competent. Environment is very sociable, easy to meet new people. Bad: The toilet cubicles are far too cramped, there is barely room to sit. The lockers are too small for a bag. None of the activities mentioned such as boating and kayaking were offered during my stay. The hostel is closed for cleaning between 10:15-12:00 and closed completely between 14:00-17:00.

Loved this place! Set in a wonderful town with amazing staff. Great place to meet new people and hangout. This place felt like a home away from home and the dinners were excellent both in quality and price. Would definitely stay here again if I came back to Lake Como.

A great place to stay in Menaggio, close to the ferry and the town, stunning views of the lake. The food and drinks were reasonably priced, staff were friendly and approachable and enjoyed my stay there. Definitely recommend this one!!!;)

Had a fab time despite the weather, fantastic location, overlooking the lake, balcony in bedroom, beside ferry, bus stops, Local tourist office extremely helpful. Hostel staff very informative, friendly and helpful. Excellent food every evening in the restaurant and basic breakfast. Bike hire etc and loads of information on walking trails.

A hostel that excels the expectations of a hostel. Staff dedicated to serve you with a friendly stay and unity among the staff and customers. Amazing view from the 8 people male dorm. Pleasure the spend the two nights there and can highly recommend to visit the hostel while on Lake Como.

Well located hostel right in front of Lake Maggiore. We booked a twin private room but got a private 4-bed dorm with bunk bed. Rooms are really simple. Shared showers are not that clean and WC are just too tiny (impossible to close the door while sitting). Regarding the breakfast it's really basic with bread, light coffee and chemical juice.

This hostel was in a great location. Their biggest issue was cleanliness - not great but don't let it put you off from staying as the hostel is in a great location and I believe the only option on the lake.

It looks good, staff was kind and helpful, We were just surprised, that there is no kitchen to use for guests. And I think, that kitchen for guests is part of the hostel.

The best part about this hostel is the incredible view of Lake Como. It's very easy to get to and we met some great people. The bar down the road, Il Tana, is especially fun. The bathrooms are small but clean; nice, helpful staff; and a homey atmosphere.

The location and food was great but one of the staff members was pretty rude consistently, you had to pay for everything (including an apple at breakfast!), no complimentary internet etc. In short, you were supposed to pay for everything that you would expect to be free at a hostel. Also we had to make our own beds!

A little piece of heaven come down to earth - don't forget to do the bike ride via the cable-car service to Pigra and then all the way down through hill-side villages, to Lake Lagarno. Stop for lunch at the Pizza by the lake, under the trees, and then the fast decent back to Como. We asked the hostel for vegitarian evening meals - what a feastt they turned out to be. Hostel staff very helpful.
