Great location and helpful staff, but completely lacking in character and atmosphere. I stayed in a single room, and although I expect a small room when booking single - I felt that the price was very high, especially as I then had to pay extra for Internet and laundry.

The staff was friendly. Otherwise just a small okay hostel, not very for socializing.

I don't have special comment about hostel but about your site. I tried to book directly in the hostel site but i couldn't and each time i was redirected to the Hostelworld.com After more than an hour trying i decided to book with u but i read perfectly your terms and conditions and before i pay with big letters u (site) said : NO FEES. Once i accepted my final account was 50 NZ DLS even i chose the 22 NZ DLS dorm and worst, when my bank sent me the message about the transaction u charged me...

Cleanliness mostly depends on the people staying there so I believe that it can only improve by the packbackers themself. Thanks for a lovely stay.

perfect location - you fall into the lake when you walk out the door. it's a 4 min walk to the centre, and about 15mins to the big supermarket (fresh choice). the staff were ok, the kitchen as well. bathrooms were very small but not too bad either. nice little backgarden behind the kitchen! common room upstairs is very small, not much space to sit down and eat. but the location makes up for all the flaws, definitely.

Staff seems unintrested, asked two times for a lamp to my room, yes they should try to fix, and then nothing happend, no apologie no explanation. Perhaps it is cheap for Queenstown, but it is not worth it. Try somewhere else.

Without doubt the worst hostel I stayed in in all of New Zealand. The place was dirty, smelled musty and had a strange atmosphere. Avoid at all costs unless you have nowhere else to stay, as happened to me on my last night in Queenstown.

I actually stayed in a Motel Unit which I think is too close to the road and pavement. It was quite noisy, and the people in the motel unit next door had no respect for anyone else, coming back and turning their TV on quite loud in the early hours of the morning!
