Too bad they don't have more rooms for all of them would be booked. Great location, easy to get anywhere and the staff was very quick to resolve any requests. Ludy works hard to please. Would definitely go back if returning to Guilin. My only niggling bad comment is the mattresses are really hard. But, that's just me.

The staffs inability to commnicate even in basic English creates unnecessary misunderstandings. The quality of the socalled "American" or "English" breakfast meets minimal standards, such as toast being unavailable, similarily no fruit juice.

Great location and friendly staff and most speak a reasonable level of English. Breakfasts we of mixed quality, the rooms were fine although the low beds were hard, but there was little street noise and we slept well.the staff were very helpful arranging trips and airport taxis-overall ideal for our planned stay.

This Hotel was very well located and staff were excellent. Only frustration was having to move after one night to another room, which was identical to the previous room....! Have recommended this Hotel to others and will return here in future.

Our stay at Lakeside Inn was pleasant. We ran into difficulties organising transport to Longjji rice terraces with a tour group, but we appreciate the effort the owners went to refund us for part of the costs.

This is a tiny place (3 rooms only) with a nice bar/restaurant below it. First, the rooms are beautiful and very great value for money- very clean and pretty with lots of light. The restaurant/bar has decent food & drinks and the staff is very helpful and friendly. The bar seems to be some sort of local expat hangout. The location is beautiful. Just opposite the Sun-Moon pagodas & the pretty lake & 5 minutes to the river, 2 mins to the main street. Don't miss the beautiful street violinist!

This hostel is in a wonderful location. Across the road from the lake and very near buses, supermarket and easy walk to the river, night market. Staff are very helpful and have good english. Bed was very hard and the tiles in the shower could use a good scrub. Overall, recommended.

The room was really nice. Tidy and well equipped. The bed was way to hard. The hardes we had so far in China. Maybe there is a possibility to put another sheet on the beed to make it softer. The staff was really nice. We felt very welcomed there. It's a pitty that their English skills are very poor. Maybe there's a way to improve the map ;)

We only stayed one night here but would have loved to stay longer time permitting. We arrived later in the evening but the staff were really helpful in showing us a good route to walk around Guilin city centre and helped us to arrange the Li River cruise which was also great. They even entertained my very bad attempts at Chinese and helped me to learn some more phrases!

Cannot find any fault with Lakeside Inn.With the atmosphere present during my stay(9 days)I have nothing but admiration for the way, staff went about making my stay enjoyable. If all hostels provided this level of service, who needs hotels.I will definately be recommending Lakeside Inn to anybody I meet travelling.Thank you so much for the friendships.

We thought the staff was very nice and accomodating. Very nice breakfast despite slight tweaks from the originals back home (we had sandwiches and muesli), but appreciated from being able to get breakfast early to be able to go on organized day tours. The rooms were very clean and w/ their on toilet and proper hot water -- overall we thought very good value for money. Location is super central and very convenient that the staff can book various tours for you and take payments at the Inn.

A really nice location and very helpful staff who had decent English. The room was nicely decorated and very clean. As to be expected in China, the beds were hard.

Friendly hostel with very friendly staff. Victor (罗炜) and the others in this hostel actually made my stay very enjoyable not only be being friendly but helping me with many errands that would have been a chore with the language barrier. Totally recommended :-)

They have a nice room; however, we have problems with the water heater, since it turns cold very fast (and we were there during the winter). Further, we couldn't turn on the heater because apparently it disturbed our neighbour as the exhaust system was installed directly outside their window.

The staff was very friendly and helpful, location excellent and the room spacious and clean. However, the room was very cold, despite a/c heater, and we slept on matresses on the floor which made it even colder. The heater is switched off when leaving the room. We kept the key card in the box to keep the room warmer, and asked the staff to open the room for us when returning.
