I did not like the layout of the dorm rooms, with individual stalls inside the rooms. It is not pleasant to share this very tiny space inside a stall with another person. Also, there is no space in the room to meet and talk to other people. It would be more comfortable to simply remove all the extra walls inside the rooms. Also, the employee working when I checked in was not welcoming at all. She was in a rush to leave and hurriedly took my money, gave me a key, and left for the night.

There's a real sense of privacy; the rooms are divided so you only really share space with one person (if there's someonelse). The bathroom and the shower room are separated and there's one for each room, which is really good. The place was very clean! It was really empty in the weekend I was there - cold days! No breakfest and a little far from places who sell foodt in the morning (although there's a kitchen). The reception closes at night; so I barely saw the staff ubt they seemed helpful.

What a gorgeous little hotel and what brilliant staff!! The girl that was working the night i arrived, couldnt have done more to help me. She was a star! I was lost and she took my numerous calls and gave me directions and even came out of the hotel to meet me at the front! She truely added to my experience. The rooms were a little weird at the start, having these small indivdual cubicles but once i realised i had my own space and didnt have to share with anyone i was thrilled!!

The house is quite cute and in what I thought was a great location, a stone's throw from the Barengraben and the rose garden. The dorm is great if you're after a couple of days of privacy - the 6-bed room is divided into 3 sections by barrier walls, so it's more like being in a 2-bed room, really. Everything was very clean. The receptionist in the time I was there seemed less than friendly, but overall I would recommend this hostel.

The cleanliness of bath room should be improving!

The best value hostel in Bern! Amazing location in the West of the city, right on the river bank. Simple rooms but comfortable. Kitchen/dining area (useful due to extortionate cost of food in Switzerland!).

Staff were very friendly and extremely helpful. Willing to help you anyway they could. Probably my favorite hostel for this 2 month trip. Wish I'd been in Bern longer than a day. Really wish you guys the best. Probably sounds a bit strange given i wasnt there long but felt completely at home right away after weeks of impersonal interactions. ~from the guy that needed to charge his iPhone.
