It was a cool hostel, the room was very tiny though, but luckily I had it all to myself so I didn't find it a big problem. The kitchen provided everything that was needed and the location was just on the outside the old town.

This hotel is one of the true hidden treasures in a very expensive country to visit. I would rate it 5***** star. I went with what people had to say about this hotel in making my decision of where to stay. I really feel that they underrated it. The accommodations are simple, but where you compare what you get for the price you pay a night that was no better hotel value in the Bern area by far and believe me i checked.

fanastic hostel, its the only place to stay in berne. i was out there climbing just need some where to crash for 1 night so just looked for some where cheap, i was shocked how good it was and asked if they had double rooms (which they have) to go back there with my wife, only problem is its 2 minute walk from lots of boutique shops(maybe i wont take the wife).the staff are friendly and cant do enough for you, and berne what i saw of it is a lovely city. its a perfect hostel.

The rooms were way too squashed. The separation walls didn't really work. A good idea in theory but there wasn't enough space I felt like I was in a ship cabin. Very cramped. It was in a nice area, just outside of town. With luggage probably a 20min walk from the station. Quite expensive, but I suppose all of Switzerland is. I probably wouldn't choose that same hostel again.

I did not like the layout of the dorm rooms, with individual stalls inside the rooms. It is not pleasant to share this very tiny space inside a stall with another person. Also, there is no space in the room to meet and talk to other people. It would be more comfortable to simply remove all the extra walls inside the rooms. Also, the employee working when I checked in was not welcoming at all. She was in a rush to leave and hurriedly took my money, gave me a key, and left for the night.

There's a real sense of privacy; the rooms are divided so you only really share space with one person (if there's someonelse). The bathroom and the shower room are separated and there's one for each room, which is really good. The place was very clean! It was really empty in the weekend I was there - cold days! No breakfest and a little far from places who sell foodt in the morning (although there's a kitchen). The reception closes at night; so I barely saw the staff ubt they seemed helpful.

Place are good, bot the rooms made from a big rooms divided with thin wood walls. I heard even breathig of neighbours behind a wall. Intresting \"home\" breakfast.
