Staying at Landing Pads feels more like staying in a house than in a hostel. Because of the 7 night minimum everybody gets to know each other, which is nice. Matt will help you get started with all the necessary stuff: taxes, RSA etc. Its a cool place

Landing Pads is a fantastic place to start your stay in Australia. More of a share house than your typical hostel, LPs is full of people looking for work, or already employed. The owner of the hostel, Matt, is a top guy who is always willing to help with the job hunt or trips around town and Victoria. Events are organized for everyday of the week so you can join at your leisure and get to know your housemates a bit better. LP is a very easy place to make great friends and start your job search.

I checked in here initially for one week and I am still enjoying the hostel 2 months later. This hostel is perfect if you are looking to work and play in Melbourne. It feels more like a big house share than a typical backpackers hostel. People are very friendly and welcoming and having Toby (the hostel cat) just makes it feel even more like home. The location is just outside Melbourne a short tram ride away and there are plenty of bars and restaurants in Brunswick.

I booked the double deluxe for a week, nice room although above kitchen/garden so quite a lot of noise! Took a couple of days to settle in, most people have been here long term, but are all friendly! I'm now in a 4 bed dorm and plan to stay for at least a month or two 😊 brunswick is fab too, lots to do and see! Staff are brilliant, really knowledgable and helpful too!

This is easily the best hostel I've stayed in for the following reasons. It's an excellent size (about 25 people staying here), people are friendly and the vibe is nice a little bit of party and a lot of respect.

Awesome place. Booked for 1 week and ended up staying about 2 months. Matt, the owner is so helpful and friendly and the hostel becomes like home. A very chilled atmosphere and they put on events quite often for the whole house to get involved with. If your looking for somewhere laid back, friendly and homely then this is the place to stay .

This hostel certainly lives up to their description on their hostel world profile - it is more of a share house feeling than a hostel and the facilitates are very good. It made a huge difference for me to be able to use the internet, free of charge. Matt (the hostel owner) offered me personal advice regarding my job search, checking my CV and asking relevant questions to help me prepare. All the staff were friendly and it was good to get a tour upon arrival to help you settle in.

Good location, great transport links to the city . If your looking for work and plan on staying in Melbourne for a while then this is an ideal place for you to settle down. Clean hostel as well, plenty of showers so you never have to wait and a decent sized furnished kitchen. Its not one of these big corporate hostels; Its privately run and it shows; Matt the manager is a top guy and is around most days to answer any questions you have.
