The Landing Pads feels more like a home than a hostel. After travelling 1 and 1/2 years around the world and being in many different hostels, it's a nice feeling to be somewhere where people become your friends and not just another person you met in a hostel somewhere. A lot of the people here work so it's a nice quiet place to relax and it's far enough from the CBD but still close enough for everything you need. The only bad thing is that you never want to leave this place.. Dan

Landing Pad is a houseshare hostel, a place where you'll enjoy a calm and friendly athmosphere, not a drunk backpackers factory where all you care about is partying. Location is in Brunswick, a popular area next to 2 tram, one bus and one train line so easy to go anywhere. Nearby Victoria market and lots of shops around. Perfect if you want to settle down and work in Melbourne for few months. Oliver.

Easy-going hostel, preferably for long-term stays. Caring, helpful manager who invests a lot of his time to make sure everyone's feeling comfortable.

Friendly and welcoming. This is the best backpackers hostel I've ever been (Looks like a houseshare more than a hostel). Only one small issue : a few backpackers were too noisy.

The Landing Pads hostel in Brunswick is the absolute best hostel I've ever stayed in. Matt, our Kiwi hostel host (Murray from "Flight of the Conchords") heroically restored our faith in accepting Brunswick as our new home with expert articulation of words, describing how we were in the heart of a thriving metropolis of interracial mingling, founded by people with a zest for life and artistic flare. The restaurants were affordable, and the nightlife rousing. I couldn't recommend the place enough!

It's not the first time someone has made a link between Murray and myself :) Its great to hear you enjoyed Brunswick/Melbourne we love having like minded people share the culture with us.

This hostel felt more like a shared house. Matt the caretaker was awesome with information of how to get around Melbourne and where there are good places to visit and different activities to do everyday of the week. We had a secret santa and an orphans christmas that was something new for me but fun to spend with new people from different countries.

Landing pads is a great hostel with only about 20 residents. And it feels more like home than hostel. Most of the guests stay here long term so you get to know them better. Matt the manager is a great guy. We had a great bbq party organized by him for all of us on the Christmas day which made this place feel even more like home:) There is free WiFi at the hostel that works fast and smooth even from the backyard. The area around is great too. Tons of cute little cafes and restaurants.

Landing pads feels more like a large house share then a hostel, after a day I felt quite at home. Great location for trams into the city, and if you're a coffee lover like me great coffee is only a stones throw away. My favourite addition to the house was Toby the cat, really made the place feel like a home. With a mix of people who are travelling through and working in Melbourne you're sure of someone to have a drink with and explore the city, or just relax and watch one of many films on the tv

Landing Pads is lovely. Matt, the owner is a very friendly guy who makes you feel right at home. I couldn't have picked a better place to stay in Melbourne and I would heartily recommend it to anyone who wished to stay for a longer while in Melbourne. It's located in the heart of Brunswick, which has lots of shops and bars. If you want to get to the CBD though it's easiest to catch a tram, which stops very close to the hostel. Walking to the CBD takes approx. 1 hour.
