The double room is a little expensive for the size of the room, especially considering the bathroom is almost the size of the sleeping area! In addition, while it has a hotel feel (which is nice!), the fact that all extras are charged for (towels, bedding) is unfortunate, especially for the price paid. We were apprehensive about comments indicating it was far out of the way but it isn't - the core and fun areas of town are walkable within 30-45 or 3-4 stops away. Great location.

The Atmosphere is exactly what you would expect staying in a former prison. The rooms are small but comfortable and the bathrooms are perfect, clean, everything works,... Breakfast is fantastic!!!!

Buy the breakfast buffet, worth every penny. This is the best hostel I've stayed so far. Super clean, friendly and helpful staffs. One thing to note is that the location is not the most ideal, its a bit far from the nearest metro station.

Very clean and good-looking, with nice staff. not very lively though, and the directions to get there arent really all that accurate. The beds are awesome.

Hotel is very nice, clean and staff is firendly. However rooms are REALLY small and linen are not included, it means extra cost. Moreover if you are not hostelling international member you have to paid an extra fee. Considering the cost and the distance from the metro station, despite the place got very good character, for about the same price is possible to find more comfortable accomodation in town.

Very nice quiet place, 10 minutes from subway, 10 minutws to city center by subway. Service and facilities on a very good hotel level, very clean. Super breakfast!

I didn't think that it was made clear enough that the hostel is in fact a operating museum, and that viewers will be in the building at any time- I had an unfortunate incident when I walked out of the shower room in just a towel to find 30+ people starring at me. I also contracted ringworm from the linen provided. It serves more as a dorm-room hotel than hostel- was no common area for hostel stayers to socialise, which kind of defeats the purpose of one. The place is cool- but not a warm hostel

We stayed at Langholmen for 3 nights and were really impressed. It was our first time in prison and probably wont be our last - I'd definitely stay here again. The staff were friendly and told us the best ways to get around Stockholm and some sights to see. The metro station is only a 5-10 minute walk and over the weekend it runs all night (take note London!), which made going out late easy to get back. The cells [rooms], were clean and full of character.

A brilliant hostel, in fact the best hostel I have ever stayed in. Incredibly clean and very friendly staff, spacious rooms and comfy beds. The former prison element makes this place a real novelty. Excellent breakfast buffet as well, well worth the 90SEK. Contrary to some other reviews about the hostel it is very well placed and is definitely not, out of town (it's about 10 minutes walk from Hornstull metro station. Stay at this hostel, it will make for a memorable stay!

My girlfriend and I loved it, its hillarious! We were both very comfortable, and can find no complaints. possibly the cell could be more spacious - but then it is/was a prison cell. Also the location could be better connected, but again it's a prison, and only a 10 minute walk to buses/ t bann. Staff were very helpful, and open 24 hours. The showers were good - hot, powerfully. Place is clean, kitchens are useful, great! The price is also reasonable - accommodation that's also a fun experience!

I really enjoyed my stay at Langholmen. It was perfectly located and the surroundings were beautiful. It was my first stay at a hostel and I could not have had a nicer stay. The hostel was super clean, the staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful and even though it took me a little time to adjust to the idea of staying in a museum, everything was so organised and straight forward and most of all relaxed. Even the dolls didn't make me feel uneasy after the second day. Tack så mycket!!!

Actually I couldn't recommend this hostel. It's not cheap hostel, but you have to pay more for everything - for cleaning, for bedlinen, another fee and so on. Rooms are extremely small. Location's not so bad, but it's not a center at all and it's rather far anyway. We didn't take a breakfast, can say nothing about it

We booked a room with shared bathroom and twin bed, but instead we had a private bathroom with bunk bed.

Very nice and fancy Hostel although cleanliness of the men's restrooms might have been better. Don't expect the typical hostel-atmosphere (no common-room, more of a hotel with a shared kitchen and shared restrooms). You'll have to clean your room upon check-out and don't forget to bring your own bed linen!

went there with our 11 month old son for a weekend trip. friendly staff, good breakfast for a good value in the affiliated hotel, very clean room (cell :) ) with nice bathroom; location close to Sodermalm (nice cafes and shops), 30 minutes walk to Gamla Stan; you can also reach the metro within 10 minutes walk - perfect stay in Stockholm :-)
